Let’s Test My Theory: CEO Town Hall Edition

Okay team members…I’ve always thought/known that they filter questions during these town halls. Let’s test that theory by everyone submitting the same question during the event to see if they ask it. If they get thousands of the exact same question they have to ask and answer it….right???

Question: What is Wells Fargo doing for its employees to curb the rising cost of goods, RTO, parking, and overall US inflation? Other companies have laid out company wide mid-year pay increases, is that something Wells Fargo is considering doing especially with the Q2 2022 net income of $3.1 billion?

The last town hall, my kid (who doesn’t know anyone at WF) happened to be home and overheard the CEO speaking as I was WFH that day. My kid said that was was a really bad speaker because their English teacher taught them you never want to speak with a bunch of um’s and uh’s. They asked who the bad speaker was and was d-mbfounded when I said it was the head of our company.

I decided not to waste my time on the Town Hall today. I got everything I needed as a recap from this thread. And this was far less painful than watching CS. Makes me cringe and nothing good ever comes from these. Just an entitled rich guy who got a CEO job for his birthday from his other entitled rich friends.

They think about whether compensation is competitive ... for their JPM cronies they bring over at a premium above competitive, and for offers they make to other external candidates. But not for existing employees since they want 50k of us to voluntarily leave so they can collect bigger bonuses.
