Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

50% RIF Coming to Atlanta

Close to 50% reduction coming to Ravinia. Some will be forced to move to Bellevue or Overland Park. H1B’s first to go. Only critical teams will remain at Ravinia. All others will be let go by end of Q2. Get ready.

@OP they've already sold out IT for CircusNow, only things left are to lay off all the middleware groups.

@p3 dude or dudette, you know there are businesses with larger customer bases than T-MOBILE that don't use IT for billing and do it quite well. There's a reason why making overly complex systems like LHS always has contractors married to them

@nd lol stfu dude. Where are the Vanderbilts Carnegies and Henry Fords of today? The rich have always wanted to increase their bank accounts but the greed we have with so little to show for it from the elites nowadays is sickening.

@cb FOR 15 MILLION CUSTOMERS. 149 MILLION CUSTOMERS BILLING IS A MUCH BIGGER ANIMAL. You have to ask the question "does it scale", which is a question most of the sales and marketing teams don't understand.

@eq
We can't expect the billionaires to pay for everything. I know we're relying on trickle down economics but we must remember that there is a limit and not everyone should have a job things to buy, don't buy into the hype of human rights. After all there's Gods and Clods and only 1% of the human race are gods.

Remember to thank your masterful billionaires for you meager penance, because they don't have to pay you anything to partake in the American Dream.

@cb You do know that it's 25 years beyond what Bruce Brown did in 2001 when the combined subscriber count was about 15 million? The billing system has changed just a bit between having 15 million and 142 million customers.

Don't be a bad person. Just accept that there is over employment alot. Too many bodies to pay the rent. Lean it and don't just say negative stuff all the time. The company can't pay for all the bodies

@c3 get your facts straight. Bruce Brown kept the Atlanta location when DT bought both Voicestream and Powertel in 2001 to do the billing functionality. No other big company had IT managing billing. Voicestream at that time had most everything outsourced.

Ravina was the original GCC. If they get rid of all H1Bs, who will be left to move?
