My manager told me that another BIG round of layoffs is happening in mid Nov, approved by people very high up......And then again in Q1...... 66% in previous post was not a lie..... it will be the ultimate goal by Q2 2026...... Everyone should START LOOKING FOR JOBS. All the best

I think they are bankrupt. Do they still have 100's of H1Bs working there?
@46k About 80-100 this time
I'm reposting something I saw in the other active thread for this. Note that you can create a throwaway email account with something like ProtonMail. Send the email on a private network (NOT corporate Wi-Fi). ---
Please submit an anonymous report to dlwdalwarn-labor@maryland.gov for WARN Act violations. The more of us that do it, the more likely they'll be to investigate.
Especially with this most recent reduction, they have to be approaching the "25 percent in 90 days" threshold. At the very least, there's a record of smaller layoffs that likely were done to avoid the WARN requirements.
Even if it hasn't triggered now, there's a chance it happens between now and the debt coming due. Get Hughes on MD Department of Labor radar.
@464
Approximately how many were laid off?
Hughes Network just had more layoffs on December 2nd. Confirmed.
The so called CEO Hamid Akhavan and Mike Dugan have destroyed HUGHES. Getting rid of the old, bringing in the So called new (woke). HUGHES us no longer a great company or a great place to work.
I know 3 people who got their titles downgraded in the org chart. Also heard there will be more this week. More quiet one than mass one, and subtle.
@1c7 Not that I heard
Anyone impacted ?
Did the date change, or is it still today (Friday 11/14)?
Which organizations will be impacted?
Its happening on Friday 11/14.
makes sense , prepping up to sell hughes off.
@sg most likely. Or Wednesday.
Will it be Friday?
How about Dish side? Any word?
This post is accurate. Confirmed layoffs again at Hughes next week. A lot of middle managers will get cut this time. All the teams will lose 1 to 2 members. engineering and HR. Good luck
@OP which org?
