Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

EC goes to Lexington

There are more than 1000 people RIF’d, but EC is going to Lexington for a town hall and employee appreciation event! Coffee and donuts for all! Let’s celebrate the dysfunction!

@eh you can choose to do that. If the EC is not doing that; why would you? It won’t save your job; that’s a proven fact.

@cd keep giving yourself these pep talks. Lexmark can’t compete against FB in the next 18 months withoutXerox knowledge to get you above 40ppm. Yeah you could probably get there with time; but time is not a luxury. Also don’t forget customers and governments (EU, China and some Latin American countries) ramping up circular economy. Means you need to k ow how to design equipment for another life. FB already does this. You got a long ways to go.

@eg So when they tell us to put bunk beds in our offices so we can sleep at work M-F because we aren't focused enough that this isn't personal.

@b5 Prep for the town hall. Don’t put much meaning into these visits. Don’t take personally any message given. It’s clear this EC is so far removed from the employees that deliver. It’s clear from what is said. Hence, don’t take it personally because they are obviously clueless as to what we do.

@d3 well said. Perhaps the EC and SLT could do some work. Perhaps see some customers. And perhaps not insisting on travelling first class for “cost saving purposes”. Jumped up id@%ts

EC probably needs to rally the Lexmark troops who are now in the Xerox ship that is sinking and assure them that only Xerox legacy troops are getting off the ship. EC probably wants to prevent unintended consequences in the Lexmark world. Xerox needs Lexmark to deliver the technology that would allow Xerox to reduce and eventually walk away from almost 100% dependency of Fuji's technology. Basically say to Lexmark folks - you are OK - we are adding stuff to Kentucky and Cebu and you are absorbing the Xerox legacy activities. We need you to right the ship and we are making the ship lighter to help you. Also, the number of Xerox legacy IRIF could be around 4,000 to 5,000 to deliver the $260 million synergy cost saving. Given the year-over-year print industry decline and the internal cash crisis, the number might be a little further north of 5,000.

Why? EC - Nothing they have done have changed anything or will do will change anything from visiting any locations!

Stay where you are, save on all travel and entertainment expenses and give the same empty messages via Teams.

(The game is up! No one cares about all your C-Suite ___! Just let us all get our job done with the time we all have left, before the next round of layoffs, financial tricks, or bankR.)

If I'm not mistaken haven't they been making the rounds the new Lexmark offices.. were they not in Philippians late last year.

@a1 not a chance any of them are leaving the tri state area. Better Lexington than another F1 race….

I'm good as long as I'm allowed to have three donuts and they are from Crissy Cream not the onsite cafe. Don't worry EC coming is all about checking out the local real estate.
