Teams.

The execs and sales use Zoom and Slack to avoid leaving a paper -er- electron trail.

They do as soon as you have got the WFR-message. Not before.

@ft the sales org utilizes this tool all the time to drive KPI's. You don't have to believe it, that won't change the fact that it exist and it's accessible at the director level

Badge swipes is all that matters. I'm sure they are very aware that a lot of people - especially those who live 10 mins from an office - just go swipe their badge and go straight back home... Or that MOST people leave the office by 12pm.

Technically, the memo and policy simply states that you "must" be in office 5 days/week for a "reasonable amount of time," however, since nobody knows what that "reasonable amount of time" IS...

@eg I'm sure programs exist such as that - keyloggers definitely exist - though I'm not sure if what you are talking about truly does... Even if it DID, nobody is keeping track of that cr-p unless they are looking for a reason to let you go.

Years ago I was one of a few who was in charge of maintaining the VPN's and had a VP come to me and ask for records of how long a person was logged into the VPN for the last 6 months. I did the research and created a spreadsheet for him for the previous 2-4 weeks because our logs don't go back 6 months lol. Basically the dude in question had a total of like 20 hours logged in to VPN over the course of about a month. AKA he wasn't doing ANYTHING work related. He did get fired too lol.

We can also go look at EVERY website you visit, how often you visit and things like that.

Point with that story is that those things are not monitored but are used against those whom a manager/director/VP is looking to get rid of, basically. Proof I suppose?

What you speak of is nothing less than that. IF it exists. Aint nobody looking at that stuff unless/until they are decideing who to keep and who to get rid of. Do your job right, and well enough and you won't be on a list.

@ft yup they'd have to care enough to look, or be motivated to. If anyone thinks the morale one step up is any better, git outta here! Culture rolls downhill.

@eg I'm calling BS on that one. They would have seen my 3-4 hours a day on Netflix and shown me the door long ago.

There is a manager dashboard that can literally keep track of the amount of clicks you make, which programs you're in and for how long, and every key is logged. It is pretty fascinating

It's all about the badge swipes.

They don’t do it. Nobody cares if you show up or even do any work.
