I really hate seeing the stock fall this hard because we all know what usually comes next when the numbers keep heading in the wrong direction. If things do not turn around soon, leadership will almost definitely start leaning on layoffs again just to make the balance sheets look better for a quarter or two. Mark my words, they always reach for the same playbook when the stock starts tanking.

Oh, hi, Michael.
It's honestly a great time to buy. If the last 5 years are any indication there is still a ton of money to be made by even smaller investors.
@dp you are evil person.
We are good - all of us know this stock drop is only temporary and very soon it will be marching toward the heavens..
" MD is a conman."
Yes, for the most part. People seem to forget he's a glorified huckster.
Not a technologist or visionary.
@d0 I think you meant he's brilliant at cooking the books.
@cw yes. He’s brilliant at managing books.. it’s always been the case.
We knew this was going to happen. MD is a conman. There is only a story at Dell. Nothing substantial.
I have said it before - if the goal is 80K then management will try to exceed the target as we have all seen in the past. It would not surprise me if 75 or even 70k is given.
It doesn’t matter, they are going to keep laying off.
@ac what’s the current headcount?
It doesn’t help when the board members and SilverLake are constantly dumping stock.
They're still well over their 80k headcount goal so more layoffs are going to happen even if the stock goes up.
@a3 yep. We knew this was coming
- shrugs*
we all know this was inevitable. It's a grift by md and jc. Dell is closer to AOL than AI.
