Why are they going to do, review thousands of those things?

If "they" don't know your talents by this point, no Talent Card is going to save you. They're basically monopoly money.
I didn’t think that wells finds oil and gas. I thought they built the wells
Who in WeLLS has any talent worth recording?? Certainly not finding oil or gas.
@eg+1jnc3n7zp just apply to a job above your PSG that you know you dont qualify for
How do we ensure you’re left standing then? Lol like strategically what’s the move yo?
Its all about who you know and what they think of you. Talent card is/was a waste of time.
Per Wells call Talent Card is only thing they are evaluating
Depends if they’re relying on existing management or consultants. If consultants, then yes. If no, probably not. If you’ve joined the kiss a-s club in the past year you should be ok as long as they don’t get canned
They are only looking for the code “Club Member” and that’s it
I don’t think the card is important at all. If you are not known well by the selection committee, then you don’t have a job offer.
LOL this thread is hilarious. AI on talent cards. Come on, gimme a break. CVX is not that sophisticated
There are thousands of talent cards and there will be hundreds of selection reps. You’ll have the general managers selected, and then the next level (typical PDR level, though not necessarily the same people), and those people will each be assigned a manageable number of employees with talent cards to review to select the next rounds…
So I should delete all my talent card info and short/long term goals for a better chance to be left standing.
This is not going to be manual or handled by individual people, they will use AI to go through talent cards to look for key skill sets, so you need to ensure you have entered key skill sets in your talent card to be identified first from the AI screening.
@a3+1jnc3n7zp Not out LT, but the consulting company that's part of this will be using sorting apps to look at talent cards. Just like the 1000's of companies that use the same method for resumes, our exported talent card will be used in a similar way.
If that's what is neing used to keep employees, then THAT'S WHY CVX IS HERE!!
Don’t worry CoPilot will automagically summarize your talent card and rank them for the LT!!
They have already stated incumbents will have an advantage in the selection process. If your current job is funded in the US, then you have a better chance of getting your job. If your job is not in the US, you might get a transition job for up to a year to teach another person your job. Getting another position if your job is not funded in the US, will be very difficult unless you are a "crony" and you have a person that will go to bat for you.
This reorg is about moving jobs out of the US, and will not be like reorgs in past years.
it will only matter if you have not updated your talent card. Then they have a way to eliminate you.
Nobody is going to comb through Talent Cards. If it makes you feel better, spend the time to update yours but it is a pointless waste of time.
I’ve changed my short term goals to reflect my staying in my current job. I’ve done the same with my long term goals for a position one job placement above mine. Keep in mind they will print your talent card and that format is different than what you see when you look at your own. Will the look at it? I’m guessing yes they will. There will be a few people at the ops manager level who will basically select everyone for their organization. This was pretty much stated in a local town hall recently.
@a2 do you serious expect LT to be that scientific??
The talents cards will be used to select the majority of positions. Ensure experience, training and skills are updated. Long term and short term goals need to highlight what you are looking for as well. Why????
The majority of the positions will be fed into a 3rd party system to match position requirements with talent card keywords. Now, will that be one of our consultant companies personal AI systems or another that's the remaining question.
Positions that are more "known" aka for friends and family I'm sure will be more personal.
Exactly... waste of time. Smoke and Mirrors to make people "feel" they have any contribution what-so-ever in the selection process.
