Cowards

You spend over 100 million to get all the agents together AND then host a call on the following Monday to take away our benefits, AAIP and reduce commissions. You should have shared all of this at convention and had the guts to tell us in person. Instead you flew your private jets home, probably congratulating yourselves on it being the “best convention ever”, and you laughed your way home. I heard that one of them even said “They are so d-mb they don’t even see it coming.” I guess agents now know how employees have felt.

What the company thinks and forgets sets them up fot failure. I honestly believe the workers have the power of the organization. They want you to believe they have power and control your freedom. Yes, while you are employed yes it is true but once you leave and/or retire you have the gavel. Use that gavel and don't be shy. They will eventually deeply regret how they treated their employees.

Sadly if you were an agent and didn't see the writing on the wall when State Farm was afraid of losing their #1 spot you were very naive. Price point is THE main driver for a lot of potential customers when everything is and has been so expensive. They were eventually going to cut into Agents the inky questions was how mu h after all of the other cost saving measures they took with claims and other depts.

@nn CCC has been used for acquisition multiple times and it has failed each time due to id--ts turning in applications as 25/50/10 when the HH had a PLUP and afterwards the agent has to deliver the bad news that some call center rep quoted a lowball premium. Also the defection rate was terrible on CCC acquisition. Writing a bunch of single line auto on people that just wanted ID cards to get their tags at the DMV and then the agent can’t ever get ahold of the customer ever again

I think some of the agents are great, some. Problem is they all refuse to properly train their staff, using underwriting to train instead. So you have agents and agency thats useful, but its stuffed with tons of staff who havent been trained, or havent looked at a resource in years spreading bad info to all our customers, which results in unreasonably expectations come a claim.

Staff do tons of damage to this company. They are just salesmen who want to cut every corner possible in the service realm, which cause delays on changes and request for the customer because they cant be bothered to click a webpage and follow a made for dummies "how to" section, along with not understanding the products they are selling. Then they have the gall to badger an underwriter like its the grocery store and were not honoring your 10 cents off mayo cupon. Sorry we cant change our process because you didnt know and now the customer is mad.

I really think it would be better to more centralize the agency as a means to sort of whittle it out as a relic of the past. Right now it seems to service our geriatrics and maybe people who need a translator and not much else. We saw with the destruction of CCC that sales can be done just fine without offices across the country. At least with it all operating under corporate, you can ensure people interacting with the customer have had training and has ramifications for giving bad info.

Agent offices are almost completely to where they are the unneessary "middle-man" level or whatever complicating everything about the streamlined modernization this company wants. The last 10 years have been so messed up as SF has the facade of agency at your service and at the same time making operations a GEICO esque Chinese factory. It can't be everything to everyone. Agent offices at this point meddle in a way that is an extra layer of complication and harassment that really a customer should just navigate at this point.

We have stupid Boomer BS as bad as some claimant that had SF years ago (if ever) but went to GEICO to save pennies who has a good old SF agent friend that she calls up when things don't go her way. Then that agent that who has no reason to get involved in anything haivng to do with it all suddenly picks up a phone to exert themselves over someone in claims.

Agent staff that calls to claims to bypass the process the company has put in place about who is responsible and assigned to do the work, and how or whatever because someone is "upset" is becoming a long overdue layer of absolute BS that we do not need.

I can't believe SF endorses college basketball, professional basketball, and WNBA spending boatloads on marketing while cutting benefits of the people who provide the service they promise. Sorry but only a sick FKR would do that to someone. FFrom keeping the promise to no promises kept. It's a shame!

@eb it's a lot easier to prove solicitation and customer theft cases than you think.

Of course customers will shift but any agent soliciting for it better be prepared.

@OP For me, an agent provides little value. I am a decades old policyholder and employee. I don't doubt there is a small population that wants and needs an agent. I am more interested in competitive premiums and fair claims handling.

@dj Old school agents--agents who are customer advocates and insurance experts, will take a lot of customers with them. MOA, production only agents are about to learn that customers aren't impressed that you take more money from people you don't give a damn about.
