Advice for a friend in an abusive relationship

If your best friend was in an abusive relationship, what advice would you give if things were irreparable?

What if that relationship was Oracle?

Most of us should leave, but we are bartered by Stockholm Syndrome and left in a dark home office everyday being told that this is the best place since sliced bread.

Truly sad.

Good wins over evil

It seems like this is generally true over the long run of history and I have wondered why it is so.

I think the bottom line is this: Good people work with and for each other. Evil people work for themselves and often against each other.

People working together generally will win over the long term.

The dislikes are telling of the negative middle management of Oracle which is cause of O having the worst reputation for employee abuse on so many levels.

There are special interest groups that depend on the SEC for protection and are working to fight for justice against employee abuse & fraud

Glad to see that Oracle is included in recent news with other Big Tech Corp’s to share in US Govt (Pentagon) contract for Cloud. Hopeful SEC will investigate mid mgmt budgets for lack of accountability, weak internal accounting control and departure from GAAP I.e., Payroll budgets, & expense reports.
Also, employee abuse - especially fraud.
Oracle needs to be cleaned up

They’ll run him off in a matter of minutes once they have to listen to what he’s done to them. It’s unreal how they don’t care until they care.
He lied his was into his position but he will not be able to lie his way through this.

I think one VP is going to be investigated soon.
Stealing work to file U.S. Patent is definitely employee abuse.
As is conspiring others to get involved - in a weak attempt to cover-up - using themn to take work that he already had. That is a serious charge on it's own and there is proof.

It's a process that has been in the works for several months.
I doubt Oracle will protect individuals that use their position to abuse others. Why would they? This VP made his own choices. I think Oracle will fire him which they should. He actually stole work to get promoted to a position to take advantage of Oracle. They definitely have grounds to fire.

Once the Gov't gets involved hopefully that will speed things up. The publicity of this will put fear into others -- of course, this VP will tell on everybody trying to save his neck. Too late for that. There is a list a mile long of his corruptness,...
My guess is fear will overcome and managers will clean up their act.

SC would gain market share for Oracle if she could honestly clean-up O's corruptness. They rather lie,m say they did but, didn't.
This is a different day. A different generation to contend with. Millenials don't care about LE and his money or SC. It were taught from birth that, nobody has to accept abuse.
FBI is not wasting anytime on Elon Musk.
Gov't is after Big Tech Corps. History of employee abuse at Oracle puts them as a target. Easy to prove and easy to prosecute.

Agree. Most people are in an abusive relationship at Oracle. I didn’t even realize it until very late.

@ebe+1k5h1L9o you missed their point and that is what is valid. Unless you are on the top or near the top of the totem pole, you are in an abusive relationship at Oracle. Just like many in those relationships you don't even know it until it hits you hard or is too late. Others take the abuse. So, what the original poster posted is totally valid. Most people are in an abusive relationship at Oracle.

Someone who has been involved in an abusive relationship is not the best person to be giving marriage advice. Their suggestions are tainted by their own experience, which while valid in certain circumstances, does not reflect the reality experienced by the vast majority of others.
