The Grayson mill energy Houston office that was shut down, all those people that were let go are probably laughing now that the shared services cuts are going to hit OKC. If you aren’t where the center of power is, you are expendable and it’s only a matter of time. Can’t manage data, can’t support your customers, can’t IT hundreds of miles away :)

@e9 Well there are still quite a few and some privately held companies nobody thinks of. There is Citation (horribly run), Crescent, Ring Energy, Magnolia, Antero, Range, Matador, Baytex, Talos, BKV, Sandridge, W&T, Gulfport and Chord still available.
How many more Greyson Mills, Coterra sized companies remain to be purchased or merged with? We know ConocoPhillips needs more reserves, Chevron will also be looking after it divests non core properties. Oxy is simplified for a purchase or sale..Companies know that this is the best time politically to merge and grow as a new administration in 2028 maybe less supporting of reduced competition
