I heard the Skunkworks in CA was building the new electric Model T.

A new Model T guys!

It's modular platform, I don't think anybody's thought of that and had them on the road years ago.

Oh, and did you hear they rearranged how they manufacture it. We all know how Ford handles manufacturing changes. I'm sure this will go off without a hitch.

I hear they have people from Rivian and Lucid. Those companies are making money hand over fist, right?

West Coast Ford will save the company.

Checking LinkedIn found more past FNV4 folks got laid off. S=ucks guys.I knew many of you.... Apply everywhere in different states , non-automotive too. I am still ashemed to post my new role. 10+ years as a Sr., then id=iots comes and break your heart apart. But I will be back ,maybe after recessions and bankrupcies and upper position. I don't think any OEMs know what they do now. They hired a bunch of loo=natics everwhere to bring their company to their knees.

Oh, hello guy who doesn't do numbers. How have you been? Still having problems with math and numbers I see. You know statistics doesnt have to be your strong point to understand things. People are simply pointing at the score board and you are refusing to see it. Good luck to you sir.

Same old complaint from negative people. Lucky for you all there is a Global Town Hall at the end of this month where you will be informed of the plan yet again. Maybe this time you will listen and think about what our leaders say?

You should. The transformation plan is working whether you like to hear it or not.

It is like the gift that keeps giving except for Ford it is showing up in recall stats. Billy and Jimmy made grave mistakes by outsourcing our knowledge base. Ford's customer base is paying the price along with the fired engineers. Very sad.

$24M a year for Jimmy. Are you kidding?

Lol.

"Tesla relies on AI. Ford relied on experience, but then it fired the experience. "

There it is, there's the phrase that makes it all make sense.

You lost me on the Patreon mention, wasn’t once or twice but several times with links. I do not need to fund some YouTuber to tell me Ford is losing $$$. I already know they are fvcked.

Spot on! Thanks for sharing this most excellent story. I was a Ford engineer that was let go because I was 60 and had 30 years with Ford. This story is the best truth on what Ford is doing. I count my blessing every day that I took the Big Check vs the pension annuity.

@OP Thanks for sharing! What an eye opener! Engineering should be the heart of every automotive company. Outsourcing engineering to LCC, replacing work with H1Bs, and force attrition by demanding workers to endure RTO in hoteling environment, etc.. no wonder Ford is the recall king! RIP Ford.

They laid off the best engineers for the development, now beauracrats s00--ck lollipop and look for mediocre new graduates to babysit while cleaning the remaining experienced engineers and leaving the total was--ste and dest-ruction that never gets affected by lay offs. The company is a failure and it's finished.

@ae+1k6zdqnyc You sound like the kind of coworker who’d brick the project, then toss out some feel-good mantra to smooth things over while you watch everyone else fix your fu-kups :D

@a1+1k6zdqnyc Whoa, whoa! Easy with the hate, at least until I get closer to retirement :D

TBH, Ford the company is mostly workers, and we all are going to pay for the mistakes of the Ford family. While the ones to blame for all this, those in upper management, are going home rich.

It seems the Ford family will lose their hold of the company (if it goes into bankruptcy), and maybe, this is a big maybe, the brand attracts enough interest that the company gets a second chance. I would love to see Ford, an American icon, to survive many years more after bankruptcy, but with a good management team, good American engineering, and delivering good ol' American products.

@OP. Thanks for the link. Suddenly, it makes sense the stupid moves from the Ford family. I didn't know why they were ki-ling the golden goose, but now I know: greed. They're just squeezing the company dry.
