They want to but agile but not follow any of the principle! Just like they want to be a great company, but don’t want to follow any of the common human principles! I see the theme!

They got rid of most of the agilists in tech over a year ago. Just a shell remained. They are all expense so the are expendable

@e7 I've had some interactions with some really great scrum masters. Judging by your comments I'm guessing you're in technology and have a general distaste for product management to begin with. Product management and agilists not having tech knowledge is an understandable frustration. We went from a waterfall to an "agile" structure very quickly. We are not equipped nor do we have the culture to be agile so most of the framework feels pointless. I get the sentiment but scrum masters are really set up to fail at this place.

Scrum Masters writ large have been some of the d-mbest slowest mindless work & meeting producing useless people I've encountered in the entire institution.

These are people who on average can't even spell in my experience, barely know how to use their computer or Jira, & yet somehow are a grade 13-14 earning as much as engineers who literally code.

Part of what's wrong with this org is so many non-technical people getting paid at the level of having tech knowledge when they're glorified clerks or data entry people at best. Good riddance.

Scrum masters are failed ex-managers who were gifted this position to be official note takers and meeting creators. Rewarded for past azzzz kissing.

@bn don't kid yourself with the "there are still a lot of agilests left at the bank" line of throught.

If they shuttered a whole Agile department, and given a trend of companies getting rid of Agile altogether, it's just a matter of time.

if anybody in Agile think they safe and going to stick around, they have more hubris than originally thought...

Some agilests were a part of the lay off a couple weeks back in digital but there are still a lot of agilests left at the bank

@b0 the agile group? Scrum masters are spread all over the bank. Can you be more specific?

I heard the Agile group was shuttered and they were let go. Sounds like all of them based on multiple people.
