@1c5 that's by design. Why develop people when we can just hire externally for upper management and keep competent peons down below?
We can get top heavy but heaven forbid we get any mid level developmental roles down "in the trenches."
I do wonder if there is a longer strategy of if you make 3 SGLs the same title can you phase is down to 1 and cut costs at the top?
@e7 I would short any company that had that MF as the CEO
How conveniently tractor man landed himself EVP title, smooth sailing for his next gig as CEO . All the service organization EVP’s should swap the role as Refinery manager a month and see if they are worth being in that roles. Service organizations like HR and IT have more EVP’s, SVP’s and VP’s than business units that actually make profit for company. Pathetic state we are in .
Come on guys, we only have 54 VPs, 13 SVPs and 7 EVPs. 74 vice presidents is a TOTALLY normal number.
I wonder if HR invited Oprah to the title unveiling meeting...'you get a VP title, you get a VP title, you get a VP title, you get a VP title...'.
The new "Advisor" title cracks me up!
If anyone wants a cheat sheet:
16: Manager
17:Sr Manager
18: Director
19:Sr. Director
20:Managing Director
Senior Vice President of Controlled Chaos, direct reports include Head of Dumpster Fire Containment & Senior Executive of Mayhem Management
Happy Halloween!
I don’t know how they look themselves in the mirror after they’ve laid off hundreds of good employees that were actually performing the work that makes money and then pull this kind of nonsense.
