Make sure you do some research on the team before making a switch. I’ve heard of teams with ongoing management concerns, including one where the manager has been out on maternity leave for extended periods almost every year for the last 3-4 years and then returned to take credit for the team’s work. There’s also another team where employees were reassigned primarily so they could be given poor performance reviews and eventually laid off. You definitely want to avoid ending up in an environment like that.

@e6 Agreed! I know quite a few in L&D that want out. And the clueless leadership doesn’t understand when no internal applicants ever apply to open positions. So much waste in that group. Too many people with nothing to show.
Run don’t walk to the nearest exit if anyone even mentions anything to you about a position in L and D!!!
lol, we’re now b**ing about having babies? How many babies is it acceptable for a manager to have?
If a team performs well in a managers absence, doesn’t some credit go to that manager for continued performance in their absence?
How do you know they are taking credit and getting a boost on their rankings? Maybe said individual is ‘taking credit’ to boost the perception and share the overall value said team brings to the table….. You know, to try and prevent said team from getting eliminated.
