Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Any idea when the enhanced IOE reporting goes live?

In a January post (https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1kezt9p2t), a couple of folks mentioned enhanced IOE reporting that is coming. “Enhanced” means cross-referencing badge swipes with the laptop connection to the Truist wifi. One of my colleagues who is close to HR confirmed that there is a team dedicated to this activity, but he did not know when it was going to be rolled out to managers. If you’re on the team – or close to someone who is - please let us know when the reporting is scheduled to go live. Reason I’m interested is that my managers are going to be all over this when it happens. They are already hassling people who aren’t hitting the 5-day target. If you miss one day in a given week, you’re getting an email. “You didn’t get manager approval!” So much for flexibility and treating experienced adults like adults

@1z9 looks like you got a negative report and are bitter. TAS is not the problem; I actually value the interaction and the feedback. I would much rather they identify an issue internally than have it surface with the regulators which would require even more time and effort to remediate on our end.

@1s8 Did someone in audit write an unsatisfactory report for you?!? TAS is an entire department of snitches that get paid very well.

@1s8 Snitching can be very rewarding especially when they fear lawsuits and legal gets involved.

Funny how many teams are understaffed, yet they find money for glorified tattletales.

No one likes a snitch, not even the people they report to.

@e0 The last earnings call indicated that Truist can't afford any more severance, and they can't afford the facilities for RTO, those were the two biggest hits to the budget. So terminate is the next step.

@e6 not for long, that is part of the project, as well as requiring badging in AND out of all locations. Turnstiles are also in the plan for many locations to eliminate “piggy backing”

The funny part is there are offices without badges.

Is it me? Or does this feel like we are going backwards verses forward? Last I checked, I was a grown-a-s person who knows how to do my job.

I get Bill wants people to quit, but wouldn't it be cheaper to just layoff and pay severence/UE than to dump money into outdated babysitting tech?

I doubt that it will be rolled out in secret. Just like the managers let us know about the system they have now, they will likely give you the heads up for the enhancement. That way, they can legally say they warned you before they terminate you for non-compliance.

So they want badge swipes and wifi verification but still expect us to manually add hours to that website? If "two steps forward and one step back" was a company...

That dude is obsessed with avps and always makes the same brain dead comments. You can tell it's the same dude in every post too. He must've had his woman stolen by an avp

Follow the rules and you have nothing to worry about. You could be AVP if you put as much effort in your job as you do trying to cheat the system.
