Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Unfiltered confirmed to be a useless checkbox

Today's all hands confirm one more time that the Unfiltered survey is only s checkbox to say to employees: provide your feedback, we receive it but we do not care about it.
They spent maybe 2 minutes on today's all hands on the topic...+40% of employees not trusting the board are not enough to worry the board. An email saying they are going thoroughly through the feedback and take actions is all what they do... truly a sad and shameless joke!

I always praise the board. Maybe it makes them friendlier.

In the past, I've given (brutally) honest feedback. This time, we were told that it had been brought to our manager's attention that some mean comment came from our team and to be positive and nice in this latest unfiltered as raises depend on it.

The only accurate marks I gave were for my direct manager, no added comments, and everything else highest marks. I thought that would make it obvious that the survey was worthless, but the narcissist execs ate it up and now think we're the best team ever.

I hope Unfiltered is not useless. I expressed my confidence in the board. Ours is still better than that of other companies.

@e5 DEI woke culture? What a daft statement.

@e5 It's just a popular expression that means Be Tough (don't be weak) otherwise you'll just be used by everyone.

But If you're stupid doing nothing and just waiting for someone (or a party) to come save you then good luck because now everybody is just trying to save himself/herself...

@e4 but I’m a woman not a man. BE A MAN is such a stupid thing to say.

The DEI woke culture pushes for more immigrants because they work for less money. We need remigration. And we need more women in leadership.

@cz time to send all Indians back to India. In fact all immigrants.

Only the AFD can save Germany.

One reason they want more employees in India than in Europe is because the unfiltered results in India are fake. The employees there are told to give a good rating for their manager and board. Or they risk not getting the salary increments. So the percentage would be lower if they considered the real results.

They already said in the employee call that the executive board is meeting to see which area they can lay off next. And this information will be shared in January. So sot tight till then.

Gina’s growth culture is a scam. They tried to replace hr support with AI and that failed. So they hired more HR support but are laying off customer support and engineers.

@c7 what is the solution here? The supervisory board is only concerned with finding a best exit deal for themselves just as the works council did during the recent layoffs. AI infrastructure and services are so expensive that they need to find money somewhere and the easiest way is to cut jobs because there are no repercussions for the executive board. Employees don’t leverage or a say these decisions. The sales backlog is not getting any larger but AI expenditures are getting larger with every decision.

They’re trying to keep HRBP and recruiters hoping that in the future, they’ll hire more employees and it’ll be easy to do so because the market is worse than it was during Covid times.

If in the next unfiltered, the score drops to less than 50%, it will be in the news again and maybe there will be some repercussions.

But the narrative needs to be corrected. The trust in the board isn’t low due to restructuring. It’s low because the executive board wants to outsource to India and layoffs are an intermediary step to that. They’re blaming that on the lack of skill set amongst some areas but that is not true. The employees impacted by these layoffs are the most important functions that they want to outsource. They are trying to move development and support to India and keep design, sales and product management in Europe and the US. That’s the real reason people lost trust. AI skillset is just smoke and mirrors for layoffs that will facilitate outsourcing.

The board does not even bother to talk about unfiltered anymore...they got what they wanted: people still producing results even with the constant layoffs axe on their had.
Every all hands same question asked to CK about morale and how the company will work on increase it...what he does? He doesn't answer. He says that they are doing decisions for the future of SAP....but people are asking him concrete steps on improving morale not the usual bs on the layoffs reasoning!
The board is at the level of carelessness that won't even increase travel budgets, offsites or 100% stock match. Only cost reduction and who cares of people are demotivated and feel like behaved numbers...they deliver anyway, so why to bother.

Rumors say that CK is meeting politicians because he wants to have massive layoffs but without opposition from politicians. There aren’t any big government deals but there are still a of important meetings with politicians. This can only mean taking help from them to fire 10000 employees without any opposition from the public.

The executive board keeps saying that we have an extra 10000 employees than necessary. The board has a one week offsite to decide which roles get cut.

They also confirmed layoffs in the employee call. Employee salaries and benefits are the third largest expenditure on the books and they wish to lower it as much as possible. AI will help in the short term here so you’ll see some roles being cut because AI can do the job. Outsourcing to AI doesn’t have the same ramifications as outsourcing to third world countries. So expect more layoffs for this reason. Also, the whole growth culture concept from Gina is bullsh-t as it only enables more layoffs. They’re cutting support engineers, product managers and other critical roles but adding more HR. It’s mind boggling how the supervisory board is allowing this. This is an executive board ruling by fear and intimidation. They’re cutting down employee salary increment and benefits so they can have more bonuses for themselves. It’s pathetic.

What’s more pathetic is that employees would rather indulge in infighting than organize and do something about this.

They will heed to it and even the market will react if it drops below 50%. But there are too many fans of the executive board and many employees are forced to give a good rating as their salary increments and bonuses are held hostage. So it will never go below 50%. In any other company, 40% of employees not trusting the board would be a code red.

Its all performative with them. Unless, they are laying us off, subjecting us to Stack -Ranking, or other various ways of debasing and demoralizing us! Executive psycopathy is rife here!
