@hs It is the growth area. Thanks to sycophants like PK, the organization has been thrown into chaos. If you want results, top heavy “management” like PK and some other management figures who can’t find their backside with both hands in the dark on a good night need to go. All they do is sit in on meetings finding ways to create inertia and a climate of uncertainty and judging from the slew of posts on this site, outright hostility that will not go away. Whether people stay or are no longer with the company, Canon’s reputation will continue to take a beating. Don’t think investors and shareholders don’t see these posts. They might shrug it off but others will not. They will see a company internally rotting from within, and they will dump their stocks.
Expect the rhetoric to escalate even more. And the potential is there for names of certain executives to get released. Not on this site but to others. Memo to HR: start doing your jobs helping employees and stop the rear guard action for management. Your performance thus far is pathetic, to put it politely.
Isn’t PPS supposed to be a growth area? You don’t win by subtraction. Make it make sense! Fire the top Executives instead, they are awful!

How ironic that this foreign company wants to destroy livelihoods of American employees around the time of America's 250 years of existence as a free nation. If what has been stated here is true, then it is time to take matters into your hands and stage a rebellion against the expats that have destroyed a once great company. Are you courageous or are you going to be cowards and let the enemy roll over you? The time is now to take a stand against these foreigners ruining lives. Do it and do it now before it's too late.

Honestly, corporate layoffs are snowballing, even for profitable companies (see META). All our time is limited. The rich guys will make more money, shareholders will be happy, the middle class pays the price.
