@e5 Open enrollment makes no difference. They can easily just drop those in the list after they are enrolled.

Whenever they will be they will catch you off guard and be sooner than you think.
@aj Oct 28th is notification date. Streaming will be impacted in tech more after convergence.
@a8 where did you hear that? I can’t imagine that all the international stuff has been sorted already or all the random team specific situations where entire swaths of teams are remote to support shows (safety comes to mind especially).

10/28 would make sense with 10/31 being the last day for most of those who took the opt in severance. Both groups would ostensibly be leaving at the same time.
I heard from a pretty reliable source that they are moving most of CBS on air operations, master control etc to Long Island. In hoping to save money and have people voluntarily leave. Just like the RTO.

I heard they cancelled layoffs.
Still hearing Oct. 28 as the layoff date. Colleagues at Sky also noted hearing week of Halloween as well.
@OP You read my mind! I definitely want people to have a place to vent, but I don’t think we need five separate posts about what a sh---y place everyone thinks this is. The main reason I come here is to try to get intel about what to expect in terms of layoffs.
