@2dk Just say you haven’t seen any. AI is in operations already in some parts of F5.
You can keep hiding or you can learn to adapt. Your future. Best of luck.
@1q6 Demos don't pay bills, demos don't solve business problems.
@xg “Not because it works, (nobody can show you it works)” Seriously, you’ve not seen any demos?
@xg You OK?
@gz For the white-collar crowd still clinging to their jobs, congratulations, by the way, tremendous survival skills. Work-life balance? Gone. Completely gone. Nobody’s ever seen it. And surveillance? Everywhere. The office isn’t a workplace anymore, it’s basically a reality show, except less fun and nobody wins.
Civility in the office? Total disaster. Absolutely destroyed. Replaced with this beautiful thing called “workslop”. Nobody knows what it means, but it’s everywhere, and somehow people forgot how to talk to each other like normal human beings. Communication? Collaboration? Forget.
And then you’ve got workers being “upskilled”, that’s what they say. But really they’re being deskilled in a very sophisticated way. Forced to use AI tools that, frankly, nobody can prove are doing anything useful. No real productivity gains, no numbers, just vibes. Meanwhile, layoffs and exit packages are flying around like it’s a clearance sale, based not on data, but on pure belief. A faith-based initiative in AI. Maybe the biggest, most expensive illusion the tech world has ever pulled off. And they’re very good at illusions.
CEOs? They’re out there trying to look strong, very strong, cutting jobs left and right, pouring money into AI like it’s a magic fountain. Not because it works, (nobody can show you it works), but because they’re terrified. Total herd mentality. FOMO at a billion-dollar level.
“What if it’s the future?” they say. Nobody knows, but they’re all in anyway.
And that old idea: rational, data-driven decision-making? Forget it. Completely out the window. We’ve gone from "human-first" to AI-first overnight. Now it’s like a religion.
@e3 Ond wrong hire at C level would disrupt the entire hierarchy, the CDO 🤡
@aa Oh, they’ve done it again! Brought in another member to the board of directors, a real genius, I’m told, absolutely top-tier, and only for a modest little package of about $400,000. Peanuts, right? Total bargain. For that kind of money, you’d think he’s personally coding the product, fixing the bugs, maybe even making coffee. No, no, he’s attending meetings, lots of meetings, the best meetings. They say it’s “strategic oversight,” very important, very necessary. Meanwhile, everyone else is tightening budgets, cutting costs, counting paper clips. But up at the top, they’re handing out compensation like it’s Monopoly money. Tremendous logic. Just tremendous. And don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll add incredible value. Probably by suggesting more hires just like himself, on HB1 visas. That’s how you do it, folks. That's how you Make America Great Again!
@OP which adds another $335,000 yearly compensation for another exec not needed.
