The overall headcount we’ll net decrease 20%. You didn't factor the thousands that are being aggressively hired in Buenos Aires, Manila and Bengaluru.

  • 50% US
  • 30% third world
    There’s your 20%

I’m oversimplifying, but I’ve seen the numbers. The long term goal is 50% low cost location (third world centers).

@e2 The first look at 2H jobs shows they eliminated all business continuity jobs. The plan is to move everything to new, inexperienced hires in the ENGINE. But the jobs changed throughout the 1H selection period, so maybe they are hiding a job as a gift for a “special” person. Business Continuity is another empty buzzword to these empty suits.

Let's not also lose sight of the fact that these fu--ing suits up there are all "good ol' white boys" in their ivory towers and not one of them did the right thing and step down themselves. @d4 Guess you are missing the point of the original post: they intentionally obfuscated the breakdown of the job loss %s by giving us that 20% to 30% global average.

If I am on a team that has been 100% eliminated, my impact from this reorg is massive vs. someone in India or other lower cost geography to which jobs have been moved. What is triggering employees’ anger are the deception and double talk that MW and his ELT have been exhibiting throughout this whole process.

Ask yourself the true reason they refuse to provide full org charts. They don’t want us to do the math on which jobs disappeared altogether or jobs that were moved to India, Argentina, or Philippines. It is insulting how stupid this ELT and those McKinsey a--holes think we are. I really hope some news outlet picks up on the real story going on at CVX and exposes these shenanigans. Someone said on another post that their behaviors are not illegal, and that’s likely true, but where the he-l are their ethics? Yes, and the reason they were so sneaky with the org structure is because it was going to be a much larger cut than expected, it's a strategy to try and avoid business continuity problems caused by a mass early exit. Joke is really on the tools that planned this, it's a fiasco, and the strategy isn't working.

That global average does not account for the jobs being offshored. The U.S. cut % is much greater than 30%. It’s a word game they tried to fool people.

It’s 20% - 30% global average and you can get to that average number if you cut most US jobs by 30% - 50%.
