Since John Roese has been here, what has his team of overpaid pontificators ever produced? What revenue have they delivered?

btw did you realise on some vid he sent us he had 2 watches? :D
I think he is not, just AI slop.
Kind of pathetic to see the CTO group begging hat in hand for our own GB10’s.
Typically CTO offices are not direct revenue generators but they inform decision making at the ELT level. If you are not seeing their direct impact then you don’t work at high enough level to get invited to those meetings. This may receive negative feedback but most CTO orgs work in that way. Direct product design is almost never their role but they should be able to produce PoCs that lead to product. If that’s not happening then there indeed should be feedback that should be provided to them in terms of the product teams’ wants and asks.
Smart people in his org but none of them know anything about selling a product to customers
From the outside looking in, it’s definitely frustrating how the organization thrives when they seemingly produce nothing of value - including choosing AI technologies when the end users/real doers prefer other tech.
But, as someone who hates working here - it’s an incredible form of grifting that JR is still here and continues to have such a huge cost basis. He’s a great speaker, so I can see the value of having him around. But I would donate my IBP check if someone found me one idea that came out of that bigger group that was a money maker. They even made JB the first CAIO because he clearly saw the AI opportunity way ahead of CTO (who totally missed the initial window).
@e1 given the propensity to save money via layoffs, why doesn’t JC just lop off Roese and the entire org?
the only thing this guy has done is block AI
John R. team was asked to provide services to CSG/ISG CTO expecting that CSG/ISG must be delivering something real. What they deliver is PowerPoints! Most of them were hired directly from colleges and have no idea what a product is and what it takes to develop a product. It is ridiculous to hire someone in CTO directly from college unless the goal is research which Dell doesn't do and makes no sense to do for the current business model. Dell CTO copied DPAIS from MS and spent the best resource to develop a tool which MS supported and made Dell tool obsolete. They are also copying another MS tool Azure IOT with the project called Atlantis -- no sense in doing it.
sounds like a promotion is in order
@OP He's produced more bugs and less competitive products than ever before. Absolutely useless piece of garbage. Does more damage than good.
other than getting people fired for not using 'Codeium' enough, not much.
Dell is clueless. They pay high amounts of money to absolute orangutans.
