The added problem of unskilled Directors and above in IT using outdated software, (looking at you Excel and One Note) to make decisions. Not being up to date with IT software, protocols, Product Management or Project Management.

The impact to engineers , managers and SrManagers is not measurable, yet they are the ones let go....to compete in today's job market.

Truly sad.

@an lIKE the numerous amounts of IT directors that have IT a mess. Getting paid huge salaries, hiring their friends without the backgrounds needed for those positions being hired.its a mess. Constantly hiring vendors with their kids screaming in the background in meetings. Then the poor workerbees being suffocated with work with cr-p salaries. IT needs a major shakeup. Retain the FTE's, pay them better and give them respect

I don’t know but, “be responsible for delivery of enterprise-wide reduction needs” sure sounds like fancy corporate speak for layoffs.
