Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

PSG jump?

So just out of curiosity, if one jumps a PSG will that take into effect in May? Or are you looking at another three years as your current PSG?

And if one jumps from a 20 to a 21 what is used to determine the pay increase?

My apologies I’m still green

If you are moving into a Career Ladder or Non-placed role there will not be a promotion associated with starting the new job. If you were selected for a Placed position at a higher PSG the promotion should be effective the day you start the new job (October 1st for most Wave 2).

The next “normal” promotions will be decided ~November and be effective in March. These are expected to be extremely rare this time around.

The default is a 5% raise with a promotion in most locations but it’s not a hard rule.

@a7 I don’t understand your attitude. Half the posts on this stupid board are from burnt out boomers who beg us all to “stick it to Chevron, only think of yourselves”, which is valid. Then OP comes along and asks a genuine question about what to expect regarding a pay increase (a valid question - after all, isn’t that why we are all here??) and then @a7 comes along with this reddit-esque condescending clap-back.

Get over your own insecurities @a7 or get off the internet. Your attitude is exhausting.

@ab I don’t know about that. But if the person had never been through a promotion? What if the person was an outside hire?

The smug attitude it’s kind of fu--ing ridiculous.

You’re not jumping PSG if selected for a career ladder job. if you’re a 20 and selected for a CL 21 job, then you stay at a 20.
