I'm not sure if it's everywhere but in my hub none of the MCS employees have been mandated to return. They have been told they are not returning to office. Why do they get to remain home based along with their managers... does anyone know? Seems employees who have to call borrowers should have been the 1st of us back in office.

@e1 from what i understand it is up to managers discretion on how much they want to weigh the WFH mandate. So maybe their manager weighs it at 0%.
I am apart of the US Bank Home Mortgage and our whole department is still remote. No news or returning to a hub at this time. But I also find strange some are made to return and others are not.
I had forgotten about this. I was chatting with one of my neighbors (so same distance from hub) and he says he also works for USB and asks if I work from home. I say I used to, but now they're making everyone go into the office. And then he says his department is still 100% WFH. I thought he was mistaken, but he's still working from home. I don't want to ruin things for other people, but I think we should at least ask our managers why we should go into the office when other departments don't have to.
Mortgage customer specialist* literally the loan processors. Underwriting is back to office though, with all the empty desks at the hub it just seems odd they aren't part of the rto. Certain departments being aloud to stay remote full time while others are worried about making up sick days or being forced into the office when they were hired remote long before covid just doesn't make sense.
I don't know what MCS is but Home Mortgage employees were granted an exemption from RTO right before RTO became a thing.
I'm not sure who MCS employees are but I do think it's a valid question. I've recently seen an uptick in people coming into the office and some said their RTO was delayed waiting for more build out despite there being hundreds of unused desks in our HUB. It may just be a timing thing for some groups.
My guess is they are a different part of the business with different roles no need for them to be. Also people need to stop trying to combine the bank with the processor. Two totally different businesses. Different functions and roles user access.
Who cares?! Get over it already. Each org decided which roles would be hub and which would be remote. You should focus more on whether your job will be going offshore or eliminated to AI. That’s the way the company is moving. You are a number, a costly one, and complaining about who is reporting to the office and who isn’t is not what matters.
