Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Would you reapply for a job here?

Let's say you were laid off. Would you rush back to try and rejoin the first chance you got or would you stay as far away from T-Mobile as possible?

I was laid off back in 2021. I would never consider going back to T-Mobile, they have burnt their bridge with me. MS done his best to run the company into the ground. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw Hulk Hogan.

I would come back, however I will not commit as much as before. The job market is so bad now. The enthusiasm is gone, it's all about the paycheck.

Took the severance package and ran. If they are paying you to leave, they don't want you around. It was great fun up until the merger. Glad to be gone.

Here’s another reason. My next employer gave a brand new phone with Verizon, 100% paid ( DEVICE + PLAN + protection packs FREE), on the ledger side, no silly Concur tradeoffs. None of this magenta expectation to employee “giving you a tiny discount, so you better read emails 24/7” guilt trip again. No intimidating threats “you better declare those lines as immediate family or risk termination” imputed income nonsense!!!

There is a clear line in the sand between work interfering with personal screen time. It got to the point my messaging threads was just another cluttered extension of my corporate inbox.

Hard NO. Put me through months of deep depression only to find a new career with half the workload and no magenta culture brainwashing. The best part is making twice as much and captive golden handcuffs bearing interest in TMUS coffers all year and having to plead and justify why you deserve access to the rest of your potential salary.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.

It won't matter if you come back or not. The telco industry is going down hard. No customers.....no revneue....only losses. The people are dying of cancer and diseases. This means a canceling of phone plans. So only thing going to happen is revenue decline. For all the top telcos. They must layoff nonstop....no choice at all. In the end the banks won't give a loan to any telco. The result will be towers degrading in service and people go back to land lines. Fit for the future needs as people get more poor. they can pay less for 1 land line and don't any cell anymore. Hurah as we won't get robbed by telcos for overcharing.

Yes, in the Tech Org, because there are remaining isolated islands of sanity. The past few years, this number's significantly decreased and the trend is exponentially worsening.

Are you talking about laid off and took a package or still within the 60 days after being part of workforce reduction?

The odds are, even of you did reapply, there is a good chance T-Mobile would not hire you back due to the stigma of being laid off. Facebook/Google have a similar policy of not hiring back those who laid off in many cases.
