I've been with this company for a few years now, and I've always been on top of duties, getting things done no matter how urgent the situation, and the managers never compensate us, not even with a thank you or an impact reward. There is no GROWTH at this company. God forbid if your computer broke down and you required help from the IT department, you'd have to wait hours or days for a response. Absolutely absurd.

I completely agree with @dx. I know knowledgeable hard-working employees that have worked for this company for 20 and 30 years and have been in the same job position with no promotions. If you want education/training and advancement and you don't personally know someone in this company that you can leverage to make it happen, you need to find a new employer. I hired in late in life and am doing a few more countdown years to retirement and that is the ONLY reason I am still here. Not to mention, if you stay here, you will be under constant threat of losing your job in a RIF. Spend your energy looking for another job at a better company. There are plenty out there so start building your connections now so you will already have in when the job market finally gets better.
you will NEVER get promoted and if you do - your salary increase will be minimal - you are already bleeding into that Band and Strand - unless you know MK and su-k up to MK in a variety of ways or are pals with a VP who came from somewhere else like Florida BCBs
