Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Charging back our BYOD+ sales

So the are adding new rules to the OST and sales and retroactively removing them from our commissions to take money away from us after Senior Managers, DM's and directors pushed us to sell them and even had calls you had to be on if you didn't sell enough. What a freaking clown show. Big red and local leadership can su-k a huge one. Make sure you bring this up if they ever want to PIP you. Thanks for all the people who are vocal on WorkVivo, you are the real hero. What a freaking joke.

It's because id--ts are putting devices purchased on loan on BYOD plans. We have a compliance team for a reason.

BYOD is being used as a crutches in a down market to attract d-mb money investors. They dont know that in 2 to 3 years all those lines will be disconnected due to the plan starting to be charged to customers. Who wants to be around for that cr-p show?

For years Verizon leadership has ALWAYS preached doing plan rerates to hit sales targets. Even the best most experienced rep would never hit quota if he/she didnt manipulate a customers account to do so. Usually the manipulation/ rerate actually saves a customer money on the bill. BYOD lines have been no exception to that rule. Does anyone remember the HUM device ? I can tell you that over 40% of HUM devices were never used but sold out as “ part of the plan”. Same thing went for the jetpack bundles lol. These BYOD transactions have been fully supported by leadership. For Verizon to take back money already earned by a sales rep is evil. It should have been a stern warning with a DL entry. It’s ok though it makes the “get back’ go without any guilt. IYKYK

@dw Ton not being used. Some stores last year had months of 80% zero usage. Don’t worry though they got Green jackets still. The Director on Long Island probably got a promotion for it.

I know they have reporting on BYOD, if they need to RIF, that reporting would be a good starting point to generate a list.

I promise we have lost more customers to competitors than they have taken from us, and the reps who are ki-ling BYOD numbers have been sc--wing customers for years. Get them all out

OST stated from the start that you can’t use a device that has device payment. Nobody took the time to read it in detail. I’m sure a lot of those BYOD don’t have any usage.

Verizon did the right thing in this case. Zero integrity with this scenario and everyone that did this should be GONE.
