Has anyone heard anything? Apparently an email has gone out to leadership and it’s coming. If WF is implementing this, then it’s only a matter of time before we do as well.

They don't need RFID badges, it's not difficult to see how your device is connected to the company network and there are already reports available for viewing this data. They can tell (even if you are using HVD/not going through vpn) if you are connecting from a Bank office or outside the Bank network. All they would need to do is enhance the RTO dashboard to ingest device connectivity data and develop rules around how many hours of office connectivity are required for it to count as a day in office.
Wells Fargo is using IP connectivity data for their metrics. They also take it a step farther and are monitoring keystrokes and mouse movement (productivity metrics) to make sure someone doesn't get credit if thet leave their laptop connected at the office and go home.
If this is implemented there will be no work around other than planting our butts in a office chair 8 hrs.
@b9+1k6zqzc6e - um, maybe be a RFID wallet...? No tracking there.
And all y'all truly think this management team has the brains to monitor all your sh!t? Gimme a break!!! this is the most d-mbazz place. (ok, well, maybe WF)
And they are NOT going to spend on the technology. That is an f-ing joke.
They rather pay themselves and smell each other's f@rts. Cheap azz f-ers'
I get nothing done in office. Too many people want to stop me and just talk. I go Wed-Fri normally and generally plan my time in office around meetings, never staying for 8 hours. I go home asap so I can get work done.
Good, with all the remote workers and half of those don't even show up to the office or have others working for them that's a great measure.
I would rather have this coming than taking away our wfh days. In my area people are ridiculous, they come in for like 3 hours.
I also know that leaders do not like us all being home on same days. I think that’s the push away from Mondays and Fridays. The reason being no one will do anything if we are all home.
Since we does BAC copy WF?
(JPM maybe, but never WF) tsk, tsk.
My LOB is already Monday and Thursday in office + one additional day
"Leadership" knows everyone would like to WFH on Mondays and Fridays. So in their neverending quest to make everyone miserable and increase attrition rates, they will say you can't do that
"rumor is we can't be remote 2 consecutive days starting january"
"In office would be M, T, Th"
WTF?
@b1 if the rumors are true M and F will not be allowed. In office would be M, T, Th as an example. Not sure what this will accomplish, but that is the rumor.
@b9 and they track what you say, who you congregate with, your tone of voice, and watch you work on your screen in real time. Enjoy
they can precisely track your lunch, coffee and potty time with your access card embedded with advanced RFID chip
Does lunch, coffee and potty time inclusive of 8 hours?
@ak WFH on Friday & Monday
@OP where I am is 3 days in office and 2 days remote but the rumor is we can't be remote 2 consecutive days starting january
@a5 was it 3 days minimum of 8 hours? 6-8 hours? Or 4 days? Hearing different things.
My manager informed me of this today!
Again, to do what? Until the platform is ready to engage my segment of the economy in a meaningful way (like it used to do), then this is a dying platform with thumb twirlers for 80% of the day. In my area, we are EASILY in dead last place for new business generation amongst our peers. Easily.
