Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco is desperate

Cisco is still milking the innovations of the 90s. Margins are shrinking, the market share is shrinking. What is left is espionage and up theft. It doesn’t go well for chucky boy.

Looking at the extreme range of votes on this thread it seems someone on this board is the one who is desperate. Someone needs a diaper change.

YoY Enterprise networking has dropped
Look at the earnings report
Couple this with price rises
The picture is not very good

I mean there is history of it. They lost initially since they were caught and a corrupt judge reversed course.

@dv - the claim margins are shrinking along with your proposed explanation would mean earnings should be growing more slowly than revenue.

Look at quasi-competitor HPE with networking and other significant product lines and their Quarterly Revenue Growth (yoy) is 18.40% and their Quarterly Earnings Growth (yoy) is -27.90%. That's what shrinking margins look like.

I hold no illusion that Cisco is a well run company. Networking and now AI have been growing at a rate which allows Cisco to lose market share but still grow as the market is growing faster than Cisco is failing. As I've said many times before, IPv6 is still a stinking mess 30 years out and there are no technologies on the horizon that would replace IPv4 as IPv4 replaced circuit switching under companies like Nortel. Cisco will continue to drift slowing for a very long time as HPE, IBM, Oracle and other legacy companies have done. Even the walking dead like Eastman Kodak and Xerox are still out there losing money.

@c9
Since November 2025 Cisco increased their prices for all networking products by 30-40% and for UCS for almost 300%.
This should be taken into consideration when you see their fake “sales growth” YOY.
