Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Should Q have kept my RSUs award?

I was fired from Qualcomm and they canceled my RSUs award plan.

I know probably they can cancel the RSUs I was awrded at the time of joining the company because those were tied to me keeping the job. But was right that they also canceled the stocks in was awarded after AR25? Were those tied to me keeping the job?

@az yeah, I see.

My bad for the typos! I was rushing to type that on my phone while I was stuck at a red light.

@dv Your statement is false. The only reason you are not qualified for unemployment in CA is if you were fired for willful misconduct (an egregious act). Stick to engineering and not to giving legal advice...

Getting 'fired' is not the same thing as 'laid off' legally. If you got 'fired', then you don't even get unemployment checks from the state.

vested RSU are voting right to fire the leadership who fired you at AGM

Thank god they got rid of you. You can barely string together a sentence in English. Good riddance.

RSU = Restricted Stock Unit. In this case, the Restricted part is time.

if the RSU's were vested, they are yours. If they are unvested, they are gone.

Why did they fire you? Was it related to any layoff event? Which org, if you don't mind sharing?

Unvested RSU is cancelled when employee leaves the company. RSU is a retention tool.
