@dv Similiar events playing out in AR. People being promoted to senior and manager roles cause they are liked but the senior leaders all while the organization structure seems to be a work in progress. On the bright side there are lots of new managers appointed to help figure it out.
That’s why the stock price is always in the toilet. The market knows. JM should be the first to go. There’s no saving this sinking ship.
NZ along with his inner circle of incompetent clowns are creating a slow motion train wreck, endless layoffs that gut morale and expertise, org restructures that feel like musical chairs, and a hiring policy that’s basically “friends of the boss’ only.” Then add in firing anyone who comes back from a leave! CU, the narcissist at the helm treats the business like a personal vanity project, oblivious to the wreckage. These people all have experience running previous business units into the ground now they’re repeating the playbook, torching trust, talent, and results, it’s ego on a rampage. SVP doesn’t seem to see what’s going on or the results of these people’s actions. It’s time to replace the Sr leadership & restore the moral compass and culture of the business unit.
Don’t ever take stress leave, parental leave or a sick leave absence at Cenovus.
Sure, they can’t fire you for pi’s-sing them off with your leave, but you can’t sue when you sign the severance and accept the money to leave. Sign your rights away for $50k. Su-kers.
I know of one bloke who returned from mat leave only to be shown the door…
