"As of February 2026, PepsiCo is reducing suggested retail prices on some bags (e.g., from $4.99 down to $4.29) due to consumer pushback on high prices."
C'mon, Frito people. How much does it take to make a bag of chips?

@af - Seen those front page news stories yet? Pfft.
@dt this is 100% untrue
I remember way back when HEB asked Frito to make their private label chips for them, and Frito laughed them out the door in Plano. So HEB went off and set up their own plant and hired away a bunch of Frito people. Fast forward 25 years and HEB makes better and less expensive chips than Frito.
Ralphs brand

BIG bag
Yum
.
“Reducing suggested retail prices” is not the same as reducing invoice prices to customers
@cj heb chips are far better in quality and taste
can't wait to see how small they make the bags now, frito is a joke
Everyone buys HEB chips here in Plano, they are just as good and cost a lot less. People got tired of being ripped off by Frito and their high prices and small bags.
I haven't purchased Frito chips in almost a year. I can buy 2 party size bags of store brand for $6, that is only $1 less than Frito for 1 bag. Since I have 21 years with the company and only get a 1% raise, I have to shop with my wallet.
Obviously nothing that you know about. Troll somewhere else.
