Rumors are rampant on why the changes to number/hours in office have not been communicated. I’ve heard they want to wait until after the survey, or I’ve heard it’s because there’s some employment/legal issues that need to be addressed first. I’ve also heard it’s on pause until they have more data and what / who needs to be addressed (like coffee badgers) But does anyone have reliable information?

@ds "...That being said, there’s no way for them to track coffee badgers unless they’re reviewing video..." Plano Campus has had facial recognition cameras installed before and after all entrances/exits. Wear sunglasses as you walk in, with your head dows. When leaving, put the sunglasses on before you get to the gates and again, keep looking down.
Some areas don’t have the space for this requirement to work.
Agree, it was not leaked. An announcement was made at the manager level, but then the official email and training never came out. There’s got to be all kinds of employment/ legal issues. They can’t hold vacation against band 3s as well as forcing a set number of hours. hoping nothing new is rolled out.
@a4 It wasn't "leaked". HR asked all managers (at least in my Risk group) to make the announcement to their teams before the email was supposed to come out in March. As always, the id--ts in HR didn't do any research on ramifications and bulldozed ahead without considering a) the timing of the announcement (ESAT in May) or the legal implications. Apparently the issue isn't the consecutive days WFH restriction...it has to do with mandating how many hours "in office" since we, as salaried employees', agreed to a 40 hour work week but not where those 40 hours were worked. They'll continue to to make our lives as miserable as possible until we leave on our own. And oh, BofA will get skewered on the ESAT results.
Wells uses badge in time and last time your device was seen on the office network (they can see where you are logged in by IP address). No badge swipe out needed.
One nice thing they do is they count days off as office days. If you take a day off, you're only expected to be in 2 days that week. If we take a day off - we still have to come in three to get credit.
My LOB monitors in-office days. It’s 3 in office and two at home. 2 days are dedicated office days.
@ds Chase in their Plano Campus, makes them badge out. In the case of a fire, the gates are opened for emergency exit.
@cx This timeline fits with when they called all MyWork employees back in office. 60-90 day notice period required and makes sense with school schedules/those who need to arrange for childcare.
That being said, there’s no way for them to track coffee badgers unless they’re reviewing video (which would be unproductive and/or targeted).
Amazon violated OSHA/Fire Marshal regulations a decade ago by requiring their employees to badge out. If there were a fire or natural disaster, the company just sealed our coffins.
Rumor in NJ is the announcement will be made mid-June and take effect September. 4 days in office if you have an assigned office. 3 days for everyone else, with the non-consecutive day rule on work from home days. I hope this isn't true but who knows what to believe at this point.
Who knows. I think they want the survey first so they flat-out lie to the public that we want to be together more. Honestly, I don’t think management could destroy the company morale any further than it already is after years of bragging about how much money we make with no raises or bonuses. There used to be a time when this was a great place to work, because the workers came first. Now it’s run by the shareholders exclusively and they don’t care about any of us. My office used to be one heck of a great team. Now - it’s just a miserable collection of those either wanting to retire, quit, or be left alone. Nobody gives a cr-p about anyone else. It’s been slowly dying for the last several years. It’s horrible. The vibe and morale is the worst I’ve ever experienced in my long career. I too, have simply given up. Do the bare minimum to not get fired, and avoid it as much as possible. Such a shame. We used to be a team who cared, had fun both in and out of the office together, we were engaged because we wanted to win. Those days have been destroyed by the lack of compensation and total disrespect shown to us from above. I would be surprised if my office location even exists in three years. Not because they dissolve it, but because we all have either retire or quit. Word is definitely out on the street about us too. Nobody wants to come work here, except for those who just want a couple of years of big bank on their resume.
There’s also a problem with space in some locations where they will have more people onsite on Mondays and Fridays.
Here's the problem they always find themselves in. Stuff like this gets out and leaked - always - and management goes radio silent. So the void gets filled with all kinds of rumors and speculation, and for some reason management gets annoyed by all the rumors and chatter. Do your jobs and communicate and it shuts down the rumor mill.
