This area is full of redundancy. It could be outsourced to India like ATSC. I realize it must be a challenge to find new ways to limit and cut compensation of real workers every year. I feel really bad for anyone affected by this, my coworkers all of us are loyal hard working and HR will be told how great they did at year end while myself or people I know will be in the unemployment line.

@ycl+16jhZuoV You are really clueless and must be in HR to believe that. There are people in claims legal in each state that do work a million times more complex and contributes to the bottom line that are being cut. Your complex law you need to know? It comes from our field legal depts by state. HR should be first place to offload worthless home office id–ts and don’t stop till every person in HO who is supported by the agents and claims in the field is dumped.
Many HR functions cannot be moved to outside the country as they need to understand the laws regulating what is done, Alllstate has been sued enough by people that they won't want to have to worry about having someone in India that can barely speak english have to testify in court.
@drs+16jhZuoV do u work in HR? Id like to have an IT department that is onsite and actually fixes issues and doesn’t just close tickets too. A lot of jobs of good people, friends Ive known my whole career here, I bet are going to India and its sad. Human Resources has changed over the years I guess beginning with demutualization and I know its reality corporate America all that. But seems last few years especially field offices seen as liabilities and it shows in corporate communications and every open enrollment too.
Cuts are even being made in HR, the bloated salaries and minimal work hours are no longer par for the course. It was nice while it lasted, hasta la vista.
No, I generally want to be able to understand the HR person if I have an issue with benefits or pay, not talk to “Bill” in Mumbai, who has no idea what health insurance is because Allstate pays him $4/day
