It's not just our industry, it's everywhere. Companies are laying off while hiring cheap. They are trying to make as much profit as possible while charging customers as much $$ as possible and paying employees as little as possible or simply laying us off. We the people are left with high anxiety as we see what's happening here at Cigna happening everywhere else around us. We the employee are also customers for everything else and are struggling to pay more for everything while our employer merit increase doesn't keep up. Meanwhile executives and shareholders, the ones who already have money are getting more of it. Like the old saying says, the Rich get richer and the poor gets poorer. There are very few companies left with integrity and Cigna isn't one of them.
I just strolled over from the Anthem section. It reads like a copy and paste. The whole industry is falling apart. Sad.
I'm in Morris Plains and proud to say I haven't spent a dime in that cafeteria in the last year. I also never get gas or food in the area.
"there are incentives to companies to requires employee return to office .."
So ok. The employees bear all the costs and the company receives all the benefit. I wonder why so many are bitter.
Not my responsibility to prop up businesses miles away from where I live. I don't spend a dime on my forced days in. Not in the building or nearby.
The spending boosted local economy which is why there are incentives to companies to requires employee return to office ..

I just saw the insights survey is coming out today. I will be providing my insights for sure! This adds 0 value, I am the only one in my team that works in office, I sit on the same webex meetings in the office as I do at home. Minimum hour commute, mostly and hour and fifteen min to an hour and a half each way for NOTHING.
Hopefully, you have scaled back productivity to somewhat equalize the situation. I sure have.
You may have forgot to say zero in person collaboration. Still doing entire job on webex like before.
