Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Technology LOB

We can easily dispatch another 30% and it will still function. There are too many coasters, old timers sitting there doing nothing. Too much dead weights. Americans are lazy.

"Still function", as if tech functions now. Haha. You have a future in comedy.

@dr, most of us are quiet cause why rock the boat? Usually the loudmouth individual is 1) from JPM 2) less than 2 years 3) knows nothing about the processes and wants to hide it on some implementation detail 4) knows about the problems -- not the design 5) exhibits every anti-pattern of a PM. When sh...t hits the fan it will be fun to see these loudmouth's get tossed into the sea. The quiet one's will slip away in their skill lifeboats.

How many of you go to meetings all the time? And in every meeting there is ALWAYS ONE person who just can't shut up. They monopolize the entire meeting. And somehow they think that makes them smart. Guess what? All those other attendees? They and their ideas are shut out. They give up and become passive participants, giving lip service to whatever was decided (if anything).
We all know this is bad, and frankly leads to bad outcomes. But guess what, 9 times out of 10, that loudmouth individual is the one promoted and given great reviews by their boss!! Yes its true, I've seen it happen. Tech is the worst for this type of behavior.
I'd gladly sacrifice jobs to WFIP if it means getting rid of these loudmouths.

The higher up you are the more you are a coaster. When things go wrong the first thing you do is blame below/ pass the buck.

Laziness is a virtue. Hard work is a detriment to any business.

Hard workers do not look for efficiencies, ways to complete tasks faster and more efficiently. They value the feeling of working hard, not whether the process is convoluted.

The lazy want to eliminate as many useless steps as possible to reduce the amount of work to get a task completed. This drives innovation.

The irony of being told that India is more productive than us, when I spend a ton of my US-based work time cleaning up messes from India not doing the basic job functions that are assigned to them, is amusing.
