Thread regarding Optum layoffs

I’m just tired of all this

Of this job, where I have to make decisions I don't agree with every day, each one taking a small piece of my soul. Of my manager, who seems to care more about pitting us against each other than the substance of the work, thinking it’ll somehow earn them a prize. Of some teammates, who always take the bait. And of the constant fear of losing this job - a job that makes me feel like a worse person than I am.

@dq When you have proof of illegal activities HR is definitely to the employees benefit. Document document document and dare them to treat you unfairly or wrongfully terminate you.

@c5 does skeletor do her bidding? I think I know about your talking about she looks like she hasn’t slept in 5 days and she has zero life except kissing up to the VP. She is sneaky, watch out she pretends to be your friend then throws you right under the bus. She works closely with HR and is in on the layoff lists so be careful . IYKYK

@cz Just an FYI... HR is not your friend, as an employee. HR is there to protect all business from being sued. That's all, nothing more.

I think that's Skeletor and Cuervo-Swerve-O's goal. Get as many of us to quit as possible. No severance to pay then.

Sometimes I wonder how hard it would be to set-up a union to stand up for our interests as individual contributors. A group to push back against 401k match cuts and Chernobyl levels of toxicity.

It sounds like a big leap, but man, a LOT of us are pi---d on this thread.
