T1-Reviews & Bonus?

Does anyone have a logical answer as to why my team has to have their T1 reviews sent in by 4/14 when T1 is still not completed and bonuses don't pay until June? I swear this place just like to d1-k up things to see how we respond.

This place is becoming a terrible place to build a career. Micromanagement, babysitting, uninspiring senior leaders, senior positions are filled with external talent, office politics running wild. Everything trending the wrong direction. Ted would fire PP immediately.

It’s due to the new HR system. They want reviews in now into the old system in order for it to transfer to new system and so the bonus can payout of new system.

Also, they are adding tracker software to our computers - you may not badgr out of home office, but your laptop will know if you are on HO internet or not. Same goes for remote employees not being where they are supposed to be.

Be prepared yall, Penny is ready to make more moves. be-doverand take it without lube, or don’t.

It doesn't matter, your bonuses are already set before you turn in your review. You may get a small bump if you put "exceeds" , but just simply put "meets expectations". THEY ARE ALREADY DETERMINED...

@gc yeah I honestly don't even know why we go through the whole dog and poney show. We know what our people do every day, we know the amounts we will give them ahead of time, the amounts or ratings hardly ever get changed after the fact, leaders and associates think it's all BS waste of time. Who does penny's reviews? Lol

My dept leader told us the same thing today. It may have to do with new software in HR to get it seamlessly moved over in time for bonus vs having too many reviews open and can’t transition the software.

@fa Simply asking a question and not stirring the pot would've been mature.

@dnThe children comment was immature and unnecessary.

While I get why people are skeptical (and let’s be honest this firm management hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt) my guess is this change is more about fixing how messy the last review cycle was than anything else.

Between raises coming after 2/1 and not even having merit numbers until mid-February with the “new and improved” cost monitoring approach, it felt pretty disorganized. This seems like an attempt to build in more time for leadership and HR to actually get aligned during each cycle.

Personally, I don’t think it’s a huge deal. I might even prefer doing reviews in real time rather than trying to reconstruct everything after the fact. If anything, maybe it helps pull bonus timing forward a bit (early October vs. mid-October in T2), but we’ll see.

@dn lady, who you trying to kid? You reek like another one of the ELT parasites. You probably become giddy with excitement everytime penny comes out with another stupid chatGP phrase (tick tock!) or a new round of layoffs happens (been happening since 2023). Chubak is for a fact one of the main reasons outsourcing to india is our new "normal". So quit trying to act like he is a harmless saint.

@df I’m sure David would laugh at these conspiracy theories. I’m just an associate like you, but I don’t make a habit of stirring the pot every time something doesn’t go my way. I’d hope you are setting a better example for our children than that.

@OP what is the big deal. Turn in your review 2 weeks before the end of the trimester. You should have a good idea where you stand and the outcomes you will have for the trimester 2 weeks is going to take you from a meets to an exceeds. I agree on why can’t we get paid faster. I am guessing they want to sit on our money and earn interest a few more weeks.

HR is upgrading their systems. This is not some grand ELT scheme. Honestly, some of the conspiracy talk just sounds miserable. If there’s a possibility of system issues, asking people to submit reviews a little early is completely reasonable. It’s a review for a job and career that, in this economy, people should still be thankful to have.

@am I’d say this is a step in that direction but time will tell. At other places I’ve worked, where reviews were done annually, the process would start in late October. We didn’t get our annual bonus in January though but they were always trying to streamline the process so payouts could happen sooner.

I'm sure ELT would love nothing more than to find a way to slash bonuses or get rid of them all together. I put nothing past these lunatics.

Why can't bonuses be paid out more quickly? Say like, first week or second of the new trimester.
