A granfalloon is a "proud and meaningless association of human beings," a term coined by Kurt Vonnegut in his novel Cat's Cradle. It refers to a group of people who believe they share a significant connection, but this association is based on little to no real substance or shared purpose, such as being from the same town or having a common hobby

LC is hands down the d-mbest person that’s ever been in management. How he keeps getting these grim reaper axe jobs is beyond me. Bro can’t even explain what a database is….
They’re ALL empty suits. Room temperature IQ. No actual skills. Go talk to a few of them and you’ll see. It’s a cruel joke tbh.
They’re not “leaders”. They don’t lead. They just failed upward and think they’re hot hit. They’d be COOKED on the open market, believe that. Fu--ing clown show.
Well we know the OP isn't management as they're quoting a book.
And past 4 decades you DEIs haven't? Hahahahahaha! Keep telling yourselves that. Consequences is something you hope not to expect again, but why not you've already shown your true colors. So yes let it all out. Words and nothing more you have shown. Enjoy. You won't be missed i assure. You DEIs are like a drama show I am enjoying my popcorn even the weekends think we're not watching you. Keep dreaming. lul
@dn Replaced by drone workers who actually hate coming to work and collaborating with coworkers. There are many exceptions but, there is a purposely non collegial atmosphere. Evidenced by the companies difficulties in growing reserves organically. 2026 is going to be very interesting
gone are the heydays
They aren’t good leaders… but they do run this company, and it’s unfortunate that they do.
Even their direct reports would agree.
They are not leaders…
I would agree with you but I don’t think anybody is “proud” to work for Chevron. At one time, maybe. Nowadays, not so much. The way that MKW and MN are running this show - if the pay wasn’t decent, NO ONE would want to work under their leadership. They are just terrible leaders.
