Has anyone heard that analysts may be guaranteed a certain salary increase and such increases are higher than what the officers of BNYM receive?

They were given $10K last September, and raises to be meted in early 2026. These were analysts in LM and NY. No idea about other areas.
@kb
Looks like the old boy / old girl directly hit you too hard in your underdeveloped areas…
🤣
I do not know you - simple you are just another body at BNY - even that I doubt, may be even Mr 42. I have nothing to be jealous about and/or compare. You may try the same prune juice you suggested!
You claim that you are marketable but ARE still here stuck, if you are still here. Shows your delusional state.
I really feel sorry for you. Seriously you are mentally ill. Simple. Yelling at an anonymous post that generalized, shows your mental state.
Please seek out help.
I would like to point out that these are OCAP analysts. They received a sign on bonus, eoy bonus and a nice raise. I am an analyst that got hired 4 years ago before this program and I still only make the bare minimum with a 2% raise at the end of each year :’)
@h5
LOL… Keep dreaming you failure. All you need to know about me is that I am a total success in life whereas you are here spewing hate and jealousy. I could leave here anytime If I choose, but I wont because I keep adding to my wealth until they let me go or when I choose to go. Wealth….that you do not have and very probably never will. You are stuck here. I am biding my time. I am better than you and I am simply reminding you of that. You also are incapable of ambition, drive, self improvement and success. I am still needed here because of the drawbacks of lazy you and your lazy crowd. And you just cant stand that. Eat your heart out baby.
Shows that you are one of the "oldies" who are being sidelined. Face the truth. Even after you, BNY will be here. The arrogance that is shown here is repulsive. Or should one say Ignorance and denial?
You ARE a spent force. If you do not want to accept it, that is YOUR funeral not BNY or RV's.
You are the one hanging on and hugging this job. Those who are competent have left. So do not blame the newbies who are being recognized and don't measure them by your outdated yardstick and yesteryear technology or business model.
Hilarious was your post and the id..ts who are in DENIAL The sheep that upvote
Well, at the non growth center I work in we laid off all the analyst positions and sent their work to India. There’s no one below an Associate. So I guess I don’t know what’s going on with those roles. But even back in the day they’d get market increases that wouldn’t trickle up to anyone else. And since I was also on the low end of the next level, I haven’t had a market raise in 20 years. I only got one in my third month of working here.

I’m also a manager. People don’t realize that these analysts were all given a significant cost of living increase in September. They don’t get rated on performance so are exempt from the 25 percent below track rankings. They will also get another raise in January during regular merit. It’s crazy how much they are paid for contributing so little, just optics of “young talent”. Quit spoon feeding these kids.
@dm Calm down old timer you’ll give yourself a heart attack. Put your feet up the youngsters got you fam. Get me. Safe.
@d0
You are so full of s..t that you need to drink a gallon of prune juice and have a toilet flush handle installed on your head. Old people? Where ? When ? How? I am what you call an old person and I am probably the last of my kind here. There are very few of us left. But the reason we are still here is because we are better than you in every way. Smarter, more driven , better work ethic and more valuable. That’s why what’s left of us persist. I look around at the newer people here and they refuse to think and work outside the box. They are harder to train and they need reminding and hand holding all the time. Until now, I’ve been chalking this up the company hiring garbage in and getting garbage out. But I am starting to think its a poorly educated and poorly raised generational gap. The only truth in your post is your ignorance. HR sure is ki-ling BNY.
@d0 old people? You do realizr all the younger staff on my team and surrounding are the ones with issues with day care and their work ethic absolutely su-ks. They call out all the time and cannot retain any info to do their job. So “analysts” are not the way to go
As a mgr that was forced to have analysts. I can confirm they not only started much higher than existing tenured staff but also got bonuses after being here only a couple months last year. Still training mind you and staff got nothing like that. Then to slap in the face again effective 9/1 they also got raises to keep up with “competitive market” and nobody else got that. Its disgusting. Plus they think they are exempt and can do what they want as well
Did Alexa write that?
Not sure what dept everyone is working in. In my dept whether what’s now considered analyst or associate it’s always been 1.5 to 2.5% if you’re lucky.
It's called cost of labor. The world has to progress, young people have to enter industries to become leaders one day.
Analyst are indeed given outsized raises relative to tenured employees (still below industry average however). For example 2024 analyst just got a mid-cycle raise of ~10k earlier in the year.
Since when are analysts not permanent staff? Is this something new? In my world analyst/ senior analyst are staff. Associate is a supervisor, etc.
