i've heard of people not having email for 6 weeks. becuase something broke.
when i worked at Honeywell i was stunned at how bad IT was. Easily, the worst IT in any company ive worked.
Offshoring will continue unabated. The solid worker will be replaced by a mush-mouthed simp in some foreign sweatshop.
Man, I wish I was in IT instead of engineering. As an engineer, we have no way out with severance. That speaks to engineers wanting to hire on. Get some experience and then get the heck out. Not worth sticking around.
@dm+1jjwnfyqx The true Honeywell way!! We have seen irreplaceable talent dumped for no reason other than to save a dime. The directors doing it had no subject matter knowledge and lost the best people in the field because of it. Honeywell is truly that stupid!
I've just learned that one of my teammates is being laid off. We’re part of one of the busiest teams in Honeywell IT, heavily involved in the spinoff initiatives, PPE sale, and other key projects. This decision seems to be driven purely by $$$, which is so incredibly d-mb and shortsighted... I'm getting my resume ready. Stuck it out longer than I should have.
How about our lovely Kronos they cant even get that right last few months alot people got shorted in their checks.
IT is bad everywhere, folks. Even at Fortune 200 companies. It's the Jack Welch/Larry Bossidy/Dave Cote playbook. Doncha love the GE legacy ways?
Worst IT I have ever experienced! Beyond ridiculous!
not sure, was in a meeting with Eric last week. Crazy it happened so fast. Heard more changes coming, announcing soon
most of them useless anyway.
anyone ever hear what happened with Eric B? VP's don't get fired every day
