The silence from upstairs is deafening. Are certain locations really closing? Which orgs got hit? Will the layoffs keep coming? As if we didn't already have enough to deal with.

@f5 I distinctly know of one who had none of the required experience but was put in a VP role- because O and M liked him
I get it we are all scared to lose our jobs, so we start blaming people for whats happening and yet to come. Its going to hurt, change is not always bad but just for today, enjoy Easter with your families, enjoy the weather where ever you are and let Mon be what it is.
There is no indication that anyone that you people single out was somehow undeservedly promoted, speedtracked or hired due to their minority status.
It almost always comes back to plain old favoritism/nepotism which is something that happens in every creed and color.
@dt race, gender, s-xual orientation, and whatever other ways you want to define a person shouldn't matter...hence the very essence of a need for DEI is called into question. Should be solely on merit.
@OP what office u located
@dv You’re not supposed to know yet, that’s what the Monday meeting is about.
I’m invited to the 9:30AM meeting on Monday but I have no idea what is going on. Only conjecture and rumors. As far as I know, none of my direct reports are moving from Flex to Remote or are otherwise affected. My Director claims not to know anything. What is actually happening? And please don’t treat me like I’m d-mb for not knowing.
@dk yes, standard nepotism and mismanagement does in fact explain things more than blaming people because you think they got there explicitly due to not being white men.
None of you ever explain how it's DEI's fault. It's a tired dog whistle.
@d5 why do believe that DEI is not an issue? Do you prefer to think it’s simply rampant favoritism of incompetence?
Another ridiculous post about DEI being the true problem. What a bunch of bologna.
Why don't you people ever come out and say it with your chest instead of vaguely hinting at what you want to say.
@ap perfectly stated. Good people were passed by for non qualified a**hats.
All supervisors of impacted people have been invited to a webinar at 930 on Monday. This is not a mass layoff, but of course they don’t need receptionists and janitors in the offices they’re closing.
@OP reality...over the past several years they have pushed out SMEs and knowledge. Because those folks didn't fit what is ideal in a DEI environment. Now, scrambling... hence making remaining folks sign non compete. Fascinating to watch. What a bad plan.
The merry band of butt clowns hope we won’t notice anything. They will not be proactive and will not be truthful. I guarantee that AI will write whatever drivel they put out.
@ae it was vague and incredibly useless .
But keep drinking the kool aid.
@a8 do you realize how many remote workers they had prior to these new policies coming out? That would have put the entire HealthSpring business at risk if they got rid of all of those people.
It was the top news in HCSC News on MOnday. The top article with Maurice's picture.
They could have quietly removed the 250 mile rule in stead of making people remote. In addition to closing certain offices i think mass layoffs of remote workers would be less messy for them. GOD SPEED
