I spent well over 30 years of my life with SF. I regret no a minute of it, but I do see similarities in SF and our government. No one likes government nor insurance. Like government, SF is so entrenched with consultants and leadership that they have lost ability to communicate effectively with the employee. They have taken benefits, increased metrics, increased inventories, and increased processes! They have failed to communicate and train. Their race to turnover has cost them and now they have lost their identity. They will find it again but they will need to double time to make up for the cost they have wasted.
@1fs+1 Who gives a fk what or who you think it is? I don't!
Just remember folks! SF gives you absolutely nothing. You work for it and every chance they get, they will take away from you for their benefit. The sooner you understand this the more sane you are because you no longer drink their Kool Aide. They love to con you and take away your attention to make you believe what isn't real. None of them are your friends and will sell you out in a second.
@1fs+1 is a retired loser TM that lost all his money by divorce, child support, substance abuse etc...I laugh at him and all the other SF substance abuse divorcees! My badge of honor...slander me more. A consultant who has kids that don't know what they are and a wife torqued on meds. Such a good company!
@1fp +1-is the retired loser that trolls this board every day. He has been doing this for years. A sad example of a wasted retirement. His posts are easy to identify.
@1f8+1 and I don't owe SF a thing either! OK for me but not for thee? What made you God?
SF hired him. No hate just truth which some just can't cope with.
@1f8: With his miserable outlook on life and hate-filled heart who would hire him?
Truth hurts eh? Always have to question someone's mental health for their opinion. Poor baby...got upset. Badge of honor for me. Hahaha!
@1dw get help for your problems. You need therapy not a message board to post your vile and disgusting comments. Honestly if you hate your job that much just go find another one. You are the one that’s entitled, nobody else feels like that. Go outside and touch grass. Nobody at State Farm owes you a damn thing!!! You self-righteous a*hol
This post shows how education has blatantly failed us. Look at what they have produced. Nothing but losers.
See how they preach teamwork but "don't have time" to assist a teammate. Such hypocrisy is shameful. That's good neighbor? Call em out on it!
To condescend anyone no matter what they say and run to a diagnosis without cause nor ability to make a diagnosis is unwarranted. These are the people who serve us? Scary!
@1Idx. That's the best you can do. After someone considers themselves better than anyone else and you say I have anger issues? You better look in the mirror real good. Your hair must be blue and have a nosering.
@1dw: You are a miserable human being who continually vents his hatred on this board. Get some help before your anger destroys you, if it's not too late.
@1dc+ you are part of the problem and not the solution. Your inability to help someone with a simple task makes you think you are better than when in reality you consider yourself better than which in essence makes you an a$$hole. Go sh*t yourself!
I take issue with the platform's portrayal of State Farm's work issues, which is riddled with inaccuracies. It is apparent that some individuals struggle with fundamental skills, including reading comprehension, required to perform their job functions. While some may view remote employees as lazy, many of us are highly motivated and take on additional responsibilities, such as guiding undertrained colleagues. In departments that rely solely on chat-based communication, we cannot devote excessive time to explaining simple concepts, as we have other pressing tasks to attend to. It is essential to recognize that remote employees are not inherently lazy and should be treated with respect. We are managing significant workloads and expect the same level of professionalism from others.
Agreed! SF has lost its integrity and fail to admit they lost every bit of their character and integrity by how unethical they treat their employees. I doubt they will ever get it back.
Such a stupid company. If you want to move into the hubs.
Phase 1 - offer early full retirement to all remote employees over 55 or certain years with company. Get the big salaries of the books. Replace those takers with new hires in the hub.
Phase 2. - offer move packages to employees and get some experience in the hubs to train new hires.
Phase 3 - replace due to attrition until low enough for a severence and replace within hubs.
DO IT ALREADY AND SHUT UP AND PUT EVERYONE OUT OF THEIR MISERY.
@p3+1. It's not how it works. It's how they are with false promises. They act like they care about you but will pull the carpet when and where they want. They don't care about you. They hide who they really are which are dark, volatile, unethical, and rotten people. Watch what the do not what they say.
@p0 the money should be where the mouth is then. Don't harass and intimidate people to force them to leave, make a fair deal with people you want to replace with your new in-office employees.
We want you to leave K7. People also seem to forget that, though it’ll be a temporary expense, we will simply call upon external resources until we train up an intelligent in office workforce. Again. Lazy WFH id--ts hold NO cards.
@k7+.....you're funny.
There's tons of government workers that would grab your job and be just as lazy as yall are. The workforce is in no condition to negotiate right now. Walk no on GAF. Welcome to the real world snowflake.
Let me make this perfectly clear. We will not return to the office. The employees hold the power and we all will walk away. Force our hand and see how powerless you really are
@hy+1. YUP! Correct. The authoritarian condenscenders don't give a rat's a-s about anyone but themselves.
I’m in management and I can tell you that WFH will be minimal in the next year to year and a half. The people who say productivity is up because of WFH are just talking out of their a-s. We see idle and AHT significantly decrease every in office week. You id--ts didn’t listen and think it’s a game so you will be taking your as--s back to the office. The job market is sh-t so what are you going to do? Be homeless? Please. The employees have no cards left.
Statefarm is going to slow down hiring and basically pass around internal employees to fill needed roles. By using a season employees, one, they less likely to quit sooner, and two they can abuse and use them more than a new hire. This serves multiple purposes, less training time, thin the herd, force retirement, etc.
What do you guys think?
You are comparing call center people with systems people regarding being away from the computer. In systems, there are ways of getting around the issue you speak of.
@ba+1jp557rgy
is this the Chase CEO talking here? its the same BS chase is regurgitating to get rid of WFH, guess what the computer tracks your idle time after 90 seconds, no one can just work 4 hours a day and then fool around, your productivity per hour is tracked to the point it keeps increasing constantly , idle time, they expect you to to work your a-s like a machine to the point that you cannot go to the bathroom, what your lunch is not scheduled for 4 hours but you have to go to the bathroom?? too bad hold it in because if you go outside your prescribed time you will get in trouble.
pre covid productivity was terrible, after covid WFH they have increased the minimum expected production 10 fold, its a sweat shop, people pretend its fine in front of management but behind their backs they hate the current state of things, i can tell you the moment in office gets announced more than 50% will quit, the only decent part of the job is not being stuck in traffic and once that is gone there is nothing SF can say or offer that wont make the workforce go somewhere, the pay is better outside SF but not spending time in traffic and wear and tear on your vehicle plus GAS savings was the only advantage they had.
Actually our service su-ks! If you try to do something on-line it just send you to an agent and then takes a month to process. The employees we are hiring have no skills and better suited for confirming you want to super size your order with no pickles! The agents are useless lazy re-ards just collecting a commission check. The average agent over the last two years have gotten a $100k pay raise for just breathing! They could care less. Our Execs just say more huddles, 1x1s, or SXS will fix the problem, ohhh...I forgot, learn how to do hard! That is code for work the ever living loving sh-t out of you, so we can get a bigger SMIP. Hard only applies to you, not them! Just a cover for the complete lack of a plan as SF is in trouble and its business model is an absolute relic of the 70s and 80s. There will be no more glory days for SF and probably time for it to join the ranks of Sears, Kmart, Kodak, Nokia, Blockbuster, Circuit City, Enron, Lehman Brothers, Tower Records, Pan Am, Compaq, Radio Shack, ...exactly what they deserve! SF is a dumpster fire!
In a booming economy with lower taxes and incentive to expand, watch what happens. Look what SF did in the mid 80s! Get ready! Personal service cannot be replaced by AI.
Watch what happens. WFH is going down.
Poster saying he works 4 hours a day is correct. Most people do. I can’t get ahold of anyone in Teams. They will ping me back two hours later saying ‘sorry I was busy’ while showing away the entire time. I get you want to level up on candy crush but at let try to appear busy. Bring everyone back NOW
I've been lucky enough to WFH since well before covid. I'm certain no one will believe me, but I rarely EVER worked more than 4 hours per day.
The last 2 years, it is more like 2 hours a day
Obviously, I love it, but it is bad for new people trying to learn systems.
I almost hate to retire.
