Looking forward to see how everyone starts driving to office 4 days a week in traffic and complain about missing little Tommys dance classes. LBT will probably start badge tracking for hours spent as well. I am fully remote so I will continue to WFH

You are PART-TIME.
The rest of the world not at office jobs do not work from home and have kids. They make it and so did most people for the last 100 yrs. Why should you not be required to work and instead "pretend to work" as you said
So then you are part time
couldn't happen to a better bunch of badgewipes
I see posts on how can they track on how long you are in the office. ? I see posts on how can they track on how long you are in the office.
Because we all know the problems stem from the individual contributor slacking off and not a lack of leadership, vision, and high-level execution.
@b9 because Sept 01 is Labor Day. So we're all fired 😳
@hb (pssst - you didn’t miss much in the four hours you were away)
Have we at Intel gotten stupidier? I see posts on how can they track on how long you are in the office. duh. badge out simple to do system in place already.
@hb you will last about 2 weeks with that attitude and won't be missed. No one owes you a job.
If my commute is 2 hours there and 2 hours home, then it will be subtracted from the 8 hours work day. After all only badge swipes are tracked. Justice served.
You would have to badge in BUT also out to track hours in the office… UNLESS they combine badge swiping coming in and networking of your PC in the office. Everything is possible, but I don’t see it happening. It requires a lot of effort…
@ex got to be stupid people left at Intel or only this board. For anyone who doesn’t show up and flagged manager just needs to fill out the webpage with justification. So simple to track pto and sabaticals and no shows 30 sec of manager time
Seriously how are they going to badge track for vacations or sabbaticals. This is gotta be the most strictest RTO policy
@e3 I am not a slacker. I work the whole 3 hours per day. Sometimes 4.
My friends at other companies complained about RTO and they just su-ked it up and did well. Why? Because the other companies were not slackers. Intel is just full of all entitled slackers
It’s amazing how the Protestant work ethic has degraded. So many people who feel entitled.
STFU and get back to work never have I ever seen a complaining bunch of slackers just be happy you have a job

I’m no longer starting work at 5am or working until 10pm. Intel gets 8-5 from now on.
@dq I do have kids that is why I am happy to WFH and continue to pretend to work just like we all
RTO is fine, but I hope you don’t have kids with that attitude….
I don't believe OP isn't a fab tech.
@dj doing what exactly ? Those fabs are still non existent and 14A 18A - whats up with that ?
not looking forward to all the makeup the women wear that they think makes them look good lol. Just more yuck
Fresh meat for defmet in the RA4 gym showers.
I’m looking forward to intentionally making people sick, stealing cafeteria food, bathroom beat-offs and parking lot naps.
Sounds like increased productivity to me.
@b9 good since that’s a federal holiday anyways
Mark my words, on Sept 1st people still aren't going to show up. Not until HR sends notices to managers because not enough people are coming in.
@a3
In many groups, fully remote will be told to relocate within a timeframe or they will have considered to have abandoned their job.
I sometimes start working at 630 am because I'm home and it's easy to slide into work mode. That's 1.5 hours of productivity Intel will be losing because they insist I waste time getting ready for work and driving into the office. Id--tic.
RTO is Boring
zzzzzz
@OP Well, you do know what happens to those that are FULLY REMOTE, don't you? First on the line of layoffs.
I don't work for Intel, but just read about AT&T having to go into the office 5 days a week. Yes, all 5 days. They had the CEO's memo to all managers and executives on this site, but I can't find it. Must have been taken off.
