Doesn’t matter what you did yesterday, they’ll turn on you the second it suits them. The worst part is it’s not offshore teams causing the mess, it’s the folks right next to you. All the blame rolls downhill while they collect their rewards. Not worth burning yourself out for people like that.

I do nothing and get great reviews. My boss loves me because I don't complain.
OP, congrats and welcome to the club. It took me a long time to realize extra work only hurt me. Now I work just hard enough to get a decent review. They don't give good raises and bonuses are not that great no matter how hard I work. That's from over a decade and a half of data from my own experience and my friends that also work here. Don't let it get you down. You got them figured out now.

Your boss and coworkers will sell you out just as fast if it means they won’t get riffed. For me Elevance can take their hopes of me collaborating and shove it up their a-s. I will only do enough work to allow me to maintain employment until AI or offshore gets me riffed. Im never gonna do extra, it certainly doesn’t get you extra.
