Layoffs (not volunteers) happened today in Lexington. Per typical Xerox style, no transparency on how many or who's affected. Good luck all.

@dh It's not over until you get another 12,000.
There you go again, 20% guy, with the "whom". Good luck with that salary savings redistribution, keep dreaming 😂
@fg As a legacy Lexmarker when we had layoffs followed by department reorganizations it was not uncommon for 15% of the salary savings to be returned to the department for salary improvements of the staff that remained. This money was distributed out in salary increases as individuals moved into new positions as decided by department management - often decided whom would be filling these new positions and etc to help drive the change the department reorganizations was to foster.
Hey 20% guy is back again! 🤮
@ed A Legacy Lexmarker the other day also shared that after lay off rounds there were re-orgs and new positions created for the top 20% that senior leadership wanted to retain and keep.. these positions were promotions for these highly sought after individuals. Hopeful this will remain to be the case.. the organization already recognizes that they have a hard time finding the right caliber to new hires for leadership roles.
@dq Transparency as in when and how many. Legacy Lexmark would announce a layoff a few weeks in advance, along with the target %. Everyone knew the date and when it was over. Those affected would have a few weeks to wrap up their stuff, transfer knowledge, and say goodbye to colleagues/friends.
Unfortunately, they have taken the Xerox approach of you could be laid off any given day without any notice and literally walked out the door immediately. That's cruel.
It’s not over. August 13th next
And what do you wanna Xerox to be open and transparent about? Publish a list of names of who gone?
I heard it’s over for now… but nobody on this site knows when their day will come.
transparency is overrated. it might not be over yet.
It’s sad to see fellow workers released from employment. Wish everyone the best going forward.
