Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Anyone else FED UP with the belittling of Xerox?

Anyone else fed up with Lexmark belittling everything that Xerox has ever done, despite not exactly being a high performing company themselves. Every.single.meeting it is all about Lexmark/ they are great / we will do it the Lexmark way / Xerox you don’t know anything …. Where are the XErox SLT supporting “their staff” and ensuring there is some balance in the integration conversations. They have turned coats quicker than the blink of an eye. No moral compass. Faceless, feckless and weak.

Belittle the p_ss out of xerox, for what it is now. Right on target.

Don't ask what your company can do for you ask what you can do for your company

I don’t know much about Java UI... but if Lexmark is not doing one something that xerox is doing, this seems a most plausible reason for Lexmark to be in charge... I personally proclaim Lexmark as overlords and have full autonomy of the rudderless flaming garbage barge henceforth!

@OP no one should be a bit surprised. Yes, the good ones they gave an IRIF to. Why would they do that?? Like really good ones.

@OP yes I agree. Sitting in some of these meetings is frustrating. Thinking back to all the good people that got pushed out, we invite these jokers into our home. We sure know how to sc--w things up. We will see how long this lasts.

@df - agreed. To your point about consultants coming in and then realizing it’s useless project - I haven’t been there long but the one thing that is very damning is how Steve talks about going back to basics and simplifying the business but if anything it’s the total opposite. Seems you need a PhD to learn all their ridiculous acronyms, d-mb a** decisions and to understand why there is 50 people doing the same simple tasks. Why do you need 5 systems for the same thing? Why does it have to be complicated? Xerox literally doesn’t make anything, they are not an AI or tech company and everything that I have seen is outsourced. What exactly does Xerox do? I’m fortunate I only started recently but my goodness what a horror show. I feel bad for the folks who have been there a long time. I am starting to see what a sinking ship this is. My resume is already out but right now it’s a job and I have age on my side. Good luck to all.

As a really long time employee I will tell you that every process within the company is so stupid that anyone who looks under the covers has the same reaction. Everyone underestimates the base complexity of what we have assuming they can do it better and the mess is because XRX employees are incompetent. Over time we have brought in literally hundreds of top tier consultants to fix our processes and spent millions of dollars. It never changed. They all failed. Why? It takes so long to actually understand the environment, and once a consulting firm realizes this (if ever), they also realize how wrong they were about the time and cost of correction. Additionally, the SLT has always been impossible to deal with when it comes to decision making. Everyone gives literally up.

Xerox had its chance. Lexmark knows how to better arrange the deck chairs on the toner Titanic.

History has made its judgement. Even though some of you can’t find your way out of a cardboard box. 📦

If you have any shred of personal pride tied up with a company that will drop you like a bad habit as soon as it's possible, you're a d-mb fu-k piece of human waste.

Do you work, find a better job, move on. This high school drama bullsh-t is pathetic.

I don't care if the Timberwolves can go all the way, or if the Spartans are best. It's all silly bullsh-t to occupy simple minds like yours.
