@dg no one is correct 100% of the time. But this site is more right than wrong and has more information than Blind or Glsssdoor.

Ayman needs to do a real town hall and listen to everyone vent to get past this chaos.

@de because unfortunately by having a group, we have people in the group that are wrong. Sometimes it may be intentional as well, ex a manager or director doing damage control.

Healthy skepticism and some self care just in case. Some folks here were wrong about RTO, some were wrong about the layoffs. Someone will call something and a contradiction is still likely. Unfortunately OT is prone to layoffs, so this was one a decent inference. We may get an idea on count within a week or 2.

If you want a place where the incorrect are needed out, someone make a discord so they're held accountable.

Man, if even India getting layoff, OT is really up the wazoo.

Thank you so much to the folks who gave us the heads up. Layoff is always so reliable. For the doubters, why are you even here in the first place ?

@bz
Some EMEA folks were likely notified today (or will be this week).
In certain EMEA countries there are labor councils and laws that require a 'consultation period'. They are also not allowed to verify they have been notified or risk losing severance. In my case my EMEA colleagues were told the same day I was let go but they didn't terminate for a few months.

@bz I think you all have better protections from that. I'm surprised I haven't heard many in the US affected though.

If they have to give you more notice they may want for quarter end.
