Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Favoritism’s have space

To survive or to have a job you need to be the favorite's person under management compared to other associates even though other associates works more it won’t be the enough as long as their favorite person works they elevate but they doesn’t know how that person finished the work.
This is in GBD very first team in ..

I don’t think situation here is scared or not being a favorite the only think i have heard in GBD CIFT and other teams when they want to hire their known people without interviewing the resource how is that possible even for contract role or FTE role. If they want to lay off everyone would be the same when time comes.

I’m sorry OP :( I worked in gbd 5 years under multiple managers it was like that for all of them. Hate to break it to you but they did the same at united, cvs, even Walmart corporate to me and others. Play the game or don’t be in a corporation and i mean that in the nicest way possible. It’s a hard world

@dg Many manger’s have posted here saying they put the people they don’t like on the riff list. Just because you didn’t act that way doesn’t mean some other manger didn’t. Do you think managers at Elevance have special ethics? Seems like managers are getting shittier all the time here.

Come on, this isn't unique to Elevance Health. Every team in every company has the favorites, mids, and outcasts. Even your parents had a favorite kid.

@e4 Correct! This place is the definition of favoritism. From the top down - has been for years - I'm sure you can just look around and see who gets "away with it" over and over and anticipate if there is a RIF it won't be that person.

People complaining about negative replies, well, that is what happens when you try to survive or left the toxicity. Toxicity = layoffs. Duh

@dh, @cp, this is actually a very important topic, and @OP explained the connection to layoffs in the very first sentence, not sure how that could have been missed. Out of curiosity, who died and made the two of you site admins? Because the last time I checked, all work-related chatter is allowed here

I agree this site is just overrun with people complaining nowadays, and it used to actually have layoff information. It’s literally called thelayoff.com

@db haven’t worked there in two years bud. I own my own business now. My comment was genuine not snarky. Why post this here (if they’re scared of a layoff, my question was genuine. Are you scared just because you’re not liked or are you scared because you’re not doing a good job or because you are in a department where there are a lot of layoffs like personality isn’t all what goes into layoffs. I would know I was a manager.)

This is a layoff site. What does that have to do with anything? Are you just scared you’ll be laid off because you’re not the favorite?
