Charities are a write off. When I was there, TW had this big push about who's unit would give the most to the Helping Hands Committee at the end of the year. Came to find out later, he got a nice bonus and a tax write off for the company.

Not true, when you give hundreds of thousands to charity, that money is gone.
Just because someone is wealthy does not mean they are cold hearted.
The 1% which Tom Wilson is a member of use Charities to move wealth around to avoid taxes. So it's all a scam.
